The Official <Snack Pack> Recruiting Thread, Part 2 - US East Pagle Alliance

<Snack Pack> is looking to add a few like-minded people to its ranks. Partial or full funding are available for any class, if accepted.

A bit about us: We are a core group of friends that have been playing together since 2006. We started originally in the 29 bracket but then moved to the 39 bracket sometime during late Burning Crusade. I founded <Red Text> on Jaedenar, and we enjoyed many premades against Gnomeregan Outriders, Werewolf Orgasmahowl, and others. When xp was added to BGs, and most of the 39s migrated to Nightfall, I stepped away after some time and sold the guild to Brumble, and it grew from a large guild into a mega-guild thereafter. Twizzlers continued with the guild and orchestrated many matches for some time longer.

Those days are over. We are not currently looking to become a huge guild, or to organize premades consistently - been there, done that. We're a casual guild, playing 2-3 nights a week (Wed, Thurs, Sat mostly). Despite claims of those in the West, East is still healthy with many games. Horde twinks are plentiful, and it's not unusual to run into 5-7 man premades. Pagle is a PvE server with a high population. Gear is easy to come by (looking at 3 PoDs on the AH right now, and we have 3 others banked already) and generally inexpensive.

So what are we looking for? We don't have a ton of criteria, but below are some of them:


1) At least a decent player that is prioritizing objectives. If you think you are the best player in the bracket, however, you probably shouldn't apply. Egos not welcome.

2) Be chill. If you're prone to being a rager, or want to belittle pugs in bg chat, or are otherwise just an ass, that won't work (except on the forums - that's encouraged).

3) Be dedicated to the twink - if you want this to be your 12th twink that you'll be playing, in 9 different guilds over 4 brackets, that probably isn't going to work. Not looking for a project master.

4) No exploiting or safespotting or wall jumping or free action potting on cd or any of this other dumb crap that happens all the time now.

I'm not interested in playing with you guys. If I logged on pagle alliance I'd probably see your guild advertising in trade chat. And that's not something I'm interested in.
It's also worth noting, that jumps have always been part of the twink culture. And for you to say "rely" as if they're a crutch, then you're entirely mistaken; As being able to position yourself properly is literally what differentiates a great player from a bad one (feel free to try & argue that claim).
I assume you aren't capable of doing simple jumps? Given that the majority of them aren't exploits (they're literally point A to point B jumps or basic wall-clips). I cant think of another reason as to why you'd suggest handicapping yourself. Anyways, best of luck with your guild. I just found it strange how you aren't welcoming something that's been accepted & incorporated in twinking for the longest time now. Perhaps you aren't aware of the distinction between walljumps & safespotting?

I play Whitemane-Alliance, I'm a 39 warrior with pretty decent gear and enchants. I hop into a match and it's 7v10. They wipe us mid, grab flag, camp us at gy, cap flag, and repeat. 2 alliance afk out, 1 guy stops accepting resurrections. Everyone is complaining in bg chat. A horde shaman starts dancing with me out of pity. A rogue's death ray promptly sends me back to the gy.

This happens for about 90% of my games and I haven't won more than twice. What can I do to get my friends included? They all seem to talk down on the bracket or twinking in general. Even with the catastrophic failure of my win/loss ratio I still have a lot of fun. How did you all get your friends involved? Most of my people are all raid logged anyway trying to beat a 30 minute BWL so it should be easier than it has been to get them into some matches with me.

You are taking West coast play style and assuming that is how we play.

Competition is West with two guilds on each side premading weekly. Pug slop is East. You prefer slop, but it's an acquired taste.

For anyone reading the thread who doesn't share an affinity for slop, go WEST.

For someone with zero interest in our guild, you sure seem to posting a lot in our recruiting thread. No need to be jealous that we have a better fc than you. I'm sure someone out there could use a 2nd tier fc.

I'd literally run laps around your entire guild. I've been validated as the best flag carrier in twinking for years now. Nobody even knows who your guild is, and based on the replies I've seen here, you guys are a literal laughing stock of the 39s scene.

I was just streaming games on my 19 druid with 2 pieces of armor on and beat a premade in an hour & a half long game. Trust me bud I'm not "2nd tier" LMAO.

I guess I don't know how conversations work. It seems you ran off with your tail between your legs. You can't exploit in the forums so you are out of your element.
