EU+US Tens Trials and Tribulations

Bys is still sitting at Orgrimar dangerously close to levelling to 11. He found his first Blingtron package but only made 50 silver. Still needs almost eight gold in order to turn off his XP and start adventuring.

Awkwyrd is testing out rough stone statues and coarse stone statues. They still seem to work like they used to. Not a lot of health but a bit of an edge. I've already dropped one in a sticky encounter.
 
Yeah you can make a bunch and switch professions. But they only stack to 5 so they take up a lot of space in your bank. But other than that they are all good. While 15 health per second isn't a ton it can make a difference in close fights. Especially when you have some DoTs on you at the end. I've died because I couldn't regenerate enough health even though I'd already killed my opponent. And it doesn't seem to share a cooldown with anything I use so I can still use a potion if I need to.

I found a Blingtron up outside Org today and got enough gold to lock XP on Bys. He's now a twink. I then spent 30 minutes grinding up some light leather to make embossed gloves and boots and a pair of light leather bracers for a stamina set. Now I'm heading up to Blood Elf territory to see about getting him a ring.
 
And I guess I'm not geared enough to solo Knucklerot or Luzran. So it's back to Org to level up Cooking (for stam food and thistle tea) and Mining and then Blacksmithing for some sharpening stones. Sure, I could find a group to kill the mobs but I don't mind a challenge.
 
Heavy Stone Statue gives 23.5/s Heal for it's duration. It's nothing impressive but it's still viable when there's no other options. And TBH, since Blizz decided to remove ALL benefits from Professions (Passives) there's no reason to have anything at Level 10 but Eng and JC. The only other prof that gives anything of note is Inscription for a secondary Hearth.
 
@Awkwyrd , Do you not have any BOA's or are you working on 10's on a FTP account? Just curious if your doing an experiment in none BOA 10's or?
edit: scratch that. I just viewed your characters from their links. I would have figured you could take Knucklerot with all your gear. your gold issue must have been an inactive account?

It sucks that Blizzard has done with professions. I generally run with Herbs/Alchemy. I can farm mats for my elixers which last for an extra hour if you know the recipe. And I make a bit of money at the same time. Swiftness Potions sell for a good bit.

Right. Since I play lowbies I let my account expire until I need it again for something. I'll resubscribe later this week or next but right now I don't have access to the mail. I actually just started the goblin as mentioned in the Help with Thrall's Gift thread. So I'm using unenchanted BoAs on Bys. I can really feel the difference. I'm used to aggroing everything in range but I'm also used to being able to quickly subdue those mobs and move on. I only tried Luzran and Knucklerot each once. Both times they had more than 700 health when I died. Obviously there's RNG (and my crit is under 60%) but I figured that was a good sign that I needed to work the toon up a bit before trying again.

My goal with Bys is to get the ring and then transfer to Alliance for a while to gear up. It's not just the boots. The Horde economy on Darkspear doesn't look promising. Then before my subscription runs out I'll transfer the toon back to horde. Probably Blood Elf. My biggest complaint about my Night Elf is that I can't interrupt healers.
 
My Kang's Bindstone worked on a player for the first time just now. Ha! It was so awesome. This nondescript hordie was peacefully questing and the next thing he knows there are hammers in his face and then he is turned into a stone statue.

Same as any other. pre-mades used to be the thing with other 10's then there were exp off macros into BG to farm HKs with the OP stat and skill crits that 10 provided. It's been a while seance i played mine so not sure how bad or good the scaling system effects them. I would think loss of the full enchant effect would maybe hurt us?.. at least in PVE?

edit: Oh! and they're just fun as sh*t! =)
 
Ganking people over twice your level is pretty fun but it's also people's reaction to your 10. They are usually dumbfounded. Other players occasionally warn me to turn back before mobs kill me. So I run out and kill a few. I get some funny reactions from people surprised to see me still standing.

And running around in the world at 10 is fun. You don't take equipment damage or get rez sickness so dying is a very temporary inconvenience. You can always just get a consequence-free instant rez at the spirit healer.

People have more reasons to Twink various Levels than I could even answer here. Level 10 specifically has the highest Stat scaling while also having access to quite decent Gear, BG's, Talents (sort of now), etc. Also, anything sub Level 10 Blizzard WILL NOT reimburse you if your Account gets hacked and any Levels 1-9 get deleted, so 10 was the logical choice for Banker Alts. Since Players like myself may have started them as Banker Alts, many figured why not Bling them up (so we did), then we figured why not Gear them up (so we did) then we figured why not see what can be done at Level 10 (so we did) etc.

Yeah i was in Arathi Highlands one day just bouncing around killing raptors and the like 29+ and along comes 3 high lvl flying above me watching me burn the down in a few secs =). It's a nice power trip.

I've tried so many times, even on my 100 Druid, and am always just a few seconds too late. It's seriously frustrating to say the least. Granted of all the times I've tried it's on my current Realm (now 3-Realm Group) and although we're not High-Pop we're no where near Low Pop and thus there's always a good 20-50+ there every single Sunday, same goes for the Arena Chest, only have a few of them on various toons as there always seems to be half a dozen Players going for it no matter the time of day lol.
 
My main is on Grizzly Hills which is low pop PvE. I've been playing just lowbies for a couple years now but I've never fished until recently. You should roll a druid over there. It won't take long to level to 60. Once you can fly it shouldn't be hard at all. The first time I tried i had 35 fish in my bags when they called out 2nd place. I won on my 2nd try.

I also skilled up a Leatherworker so I have better leg enchants now too. I suppose I'll have to do something similar with Tailoring for my new priest, Tennie?

Nearly all the Gurubashi are hotly contested. You can still realm hop after those. You have to hop yourself if you want to find one that's not well guarded. These days you need friends to get AGM. We should band together to gear our 10s.

I have a couple 70 and an 80 dk on Grizzly Hills. It was my main server for a while years ago. Honestly I don't know why they allow the top end player or why they would even care to take the AG chest from appropriate lvl toons, it's just pure assanine behavior IMHO. It should be coded to no higher than the zone lvl.

Unfortunately no, Tailoring Embossments don't work without Tailoring at the appropriate Level, only LW, except the BiS Tanking Leatherworking Embossment, it requires Level 60 or 65, can't remember. The other 2 Ranks of the Embossment work fine though.
