EU+US Tens Trials and Tribulations

Achievements and plenty of other 100s come so there are good fights. It's something to do while you are sitting in queues. I got my AGM back when CRZ was new and few people were exploiting it to jump to different realms quickly to claim multiple chests. I play late at night so most of my competition was from level 20s on trial accounts. I could handle those and when higher level toons showed up I got stomped, of course. These days going it alone is a losing proposition.

My idea is for CRZ to sort players by level. That is, those toons higher than the level of the zone should be phased into their own zone. So for the Gurubashi Arena it would be players level 35 and under competing for chests only with each other and higher levels competing with each other. I think this would really balance things out on PvP servers. There are far too many 100s out hunting lowbies especially hordeside. I do see Alliance 100s ganking in southern Ashenvale (where I like to gank) but not very often. Try going to Three Corners on a lowbie ally and you are getting one-shotted more often than not. Getting quests from Guard Parker is just impossible unless there are Alliance 100s to babysit you.

But really, we should form a Team Tens Trinkets to get chests. If we had four or five players who could be online at night we could be the people grabbing multiple chests each cycle.

Achievement is my only guess.[/QUOTE]

True, but like the AGM, the Fishing derby is the same. If it were locked to lvls of appropriate zone lvl then they would need to have already gotten it at an appropriate lvl. The problem is when the same people just keep doing it over and over because they are bored rather than letting those that need it win. I can see several options in fixing the issue. Firstly, once you have achieved the achievement, that toon should be locked out of placing. It's arguable that yes other toons of that same person should have opportunities to win for reasons of items acquired, but the achievement is account wide. Secondly, to even the odds to all involved, there should be zone wide lock out of "Flight and Water walking" to prevent the druids and top end players with light speed mounts and flying to which gives no lvl appropriate player any chance of winning. It's usually won now 1,2 and 3rd with in 10 mins of starting. When this event was created, there were none of these abilities and it was intended as a shore line fishing derby. The event has never changed to locked down it's difficulty, or to balance out the progression of the game.

So I enchanted a 2nd pair of hammers for Awkwyrd with Icy Chill and Dancing Steel. I've seen the agility proc pretty often (though I'm still working on how to get better notification) but I have yet to see a single slow debuff. I'm headed toward Theramore to test it out on the target dummies.

OK so I finally got it to proc on the level 1 dummies. So now my addon will recognize it at least. But it took a while. Not sure if I want to lose the DPS I get from Elemental Force on such a small chance to slow a target. Maybe I should enchant another hammer and run with double Icy Chill to hammer them until I get a proc and switch back to my EF hammers.

I haven't played a War in year and years but didn't they used to get something called hamstring before lvl 10?

edit: Sorry I reread that and i was originally seeing (2nd) pair in my mind and (2 handed) for some reason =) LOL and was thinking of a War. My bad. I would say maybe if your doing a lot of PVE have different weapons that you can macro swap for abilities. once they proc, macro back to Elemental enchants. Not even sure if that's doable like it used to be.

I just started experimenting with swapping weapons for the procs. DeLindsay gave me the idea talking about enchants over in the rogue gear guide I made. I'm not happy with the results so far. Elemental Force, which is what I was running with on both weapons, does damage even if you aren't hitting opponents. Icy Chill just doesn't seem to proc anywhere often enough to make it worth giving that up. I would love to be able to get a slow on kiting classes but it's just too unreliable. I don't run into geared players around my level. The ones I have trouble killing are 12 or more levels above me. Because I miss so often when I do manage to hit them I want it to hurt.

Yeah, HIT RATE was a major stat for 10's. It hurt when it was removed. I used to watch a 10 rogue on YouTube but can't remember his name. He swapped weapons. I believe he even had crusader for the str proc.

edit: Are there any guilds still active like <Beats on Nighteens> or others on any server?

@Awkwyrd : The guy I was mention is "Boud". here's a link to one of his YT videos.

Awkwyrd is in a small level 10 guild now and my guildie was telling me about a raid of 10s that brought down one of those huge elite robots that patrol Hellfire Peninsula. That must have been cool as hell.

He was also showing me the benefits of Landslide. The enchant is so OP. Unfortunately as with Icy Chill I miss too often for it to be reliable.

Of course these are LvL 1 tinks. I'm working on a 1 Lock now but just to show you the power they used to have at least, here's two lvl 1 mages destroying a 40 elite =).

Have a couple lvl Ones myself. One has Furlbogs and AGM.
All it does now is miss miss miss miss.... But it sure has a hell of a health regen!!

What guild is this on which server?

Hit me up. I'll throw you a thousand gold to get you started. And lend you a pair of starting level boots with Minor Speed. A must have quality of life item.

Add my battletag Bearmason#1854

After I fish real quick I'm bringing my Disc 10 out to Felwood to solo grind Timbermaw rep.
