Which belt is better or does it even matter? I spend my time in Warsong, Arathi Basin and Gurubashi Arena. Most of it in Arathi grinding for that tabard.

Currently I don’t believe there is an exact BiS gear set for rogues. It all comes to your playstyle....

But even so, on my personal testings and knowledge shows that for Assassination you must go for Crit before Agility and for Subtlety you should prioritize Agility instead of Crit. Why? Subtlety benefits the most from Agility because of Sinister Calling. Also, since you rely mostly on huge opening bursts, you need a lot Attack Power, Attack Power that comes also from Agility.

You are Sub, so in theory Monkey will make better use of Sinister Calling. IMO, the difference is marginal <1%.

Edit: If you decide to stack agi, also try doomspike, monkey cloak and Ring of Precision

I have some of those items too. I also have Leggings of the Fang and Hoggers Trousers. I'm at a point where I own a bit of gear but not sure which of it to use. Thanks.

Tools like this can help try out different gear combinations. There were issues with crit calculations so would pay to read through comments to see if this has been resolved.

Using something like Recount can also be useful to see you actual damage for Ambush, etc. after you've been in a BG.

Melee classes are iffy. Crit probably won't be the exact number you see in BGs but you can expect it to make sense (more agility for sub, more crit). I'm not 100% sure Blizzard is doing their scaling calculations right, there's hit issues and their attack power formula is funky. It sucks because from a programming standpoint it's sound. I just need correct formulas that reflect what's happening in the game. But carry on, we stumbled upon a working AP formula for rogues so that should be good ;) I'll be looking to fix all the number issues in WoD.

what's the difference between a crit ambush and a none crit one? need i say more...

You go max agility. Crit rewards having constant damage, not burst damage. People say "what's better, a crit or an non-crit ambush?" but they are begging the question because they are assuming that extra 3% crit means you are in fact going to crit.

No. You maximize agility as subtlety because ASSUMING you crit, you want your ambush to be as high as you can. Why? Because Hemo is awful. You pretty much need to frontload so much damage on that ambush that your target is never able to recover (ie: healers). There's a reason max stacking agility Sub rogues can occasionally drop FC's /healers and all of you crit stacking ones often don't. The different between a 900 crit and a 1030 crit is huge. The difference between 21% and 23% is not.

TLDR: Hemo sucks, crit rewards constant damage (Mutilate/Sinister Strike), agility rewards focus 5 CP dumps and ambushes, Sub rewards ambush -> go agility.

In case of trolls:

no guyzz agility rewards crit rememberzz??

and you are assuming a none crit rogues ambush is going to crit... and 130 dmg is one wight hit, that would also have more chance or criting with more crit.

as much as it pains me to admit, achmed is spot on. stack agi till you're at a decent level of AP,then stack crit.

So you are saying that agility stacking rogues occasionally drop flag carriers or healers (which implies that they often don't), and that crit stacking rogues often don't (which implies that they occasionally do)

Also, your example is entirely out of place. 1 agility versus 6 crit rating is a completely different story than 130 ambush damage versus 2% crit. 15 ambush damage and 2% crit would be more accurate.

Tunnel visioning on one stat is wrong unless you just want to say "hi i have max agility".

There aren't any magic numbers when it comes to AP and crit, so you should have you own ideas/preferences about stat weight and look at the individual piece of gear.

The belt choice comes down to 1 agility (1.3 as sub) or 6 crit.

Agility is more valuable than crit point for point. When there's this big of a gap though, I think the choice is pretty easy.
