EU+US Stats for caster/healer

Grandfathered
Caster: int>crit>vers>haste
Healer: int>vers>crit>haste

Why? Haste is bad because it doesn't increase dmg of elemental force and mark of the hidden Satyr. These two essential enchants are boosted a lot by crit and versa. Versa above crit for healers because more survival is useful due to your being focused to a greater extent.

Fuck stam stacking because that health is only ever gonna come into play when Ur around 10%hp which is super rare if Ur playing right. Main stat and secondaries increase the power of your character 100% of the time.

Spez:apparently haste does increase ppm according to our boy vandiir. Crit versa still better tho. Don't need to theory craft or sim cos this is pretty self evident. I'm a lazy fuck tho do it if you want and post Ur outcomes

Crit seems to be the only worthwhile stat because Main stat and Vers don't seem to make a difference with the short combat times in BfA PvP. I'd love for folks to start showing some numbers / graphs so we can all stop Feelycrafting.

From what I'm seen, the difference between stacking main stat and not stacking main stat is really only visible after a very long time casting multiple spells. I'm talking about raid-long combat times. Totally invisible in current play.

Since when? For some time during MoP and several expansions after that, haste did (or used to) improve the rppm of elemental force and other MoP (and maybe newer-than-MoP) enchants (MoP old citation). For example, if one had haste h%, like 10% or 20% haste, then the rppm of elemental force would be 10*(1+h).
By the way, elemental force's (non-hasted at least) ppm chance remains unchanged, at around 10 ppm (or 20 ppm if dual-wielding 2 elemental force enchanted weapons). Granted, the proc chance of many other weapon enchants including older enchants like crusader, some hunter scopes, landslide, dancing steel, and much more, seemed to have also remained unchanged. The only change I've seen in BFA so far is in how much some procs give (or deal) when they proc.

That said though, the offensive benefits of crit or versatility is more immediate (and more relevant in only-a-few-gcds-long fights) than haste.

I would still say int is best but I certainly agree it's a minimal difference in the grand scheme of things. The only caster I could see crit surpassing int would be Fire mage due to its reliance on crit as a core mechanic to the spec. The reality is post-squish, if you're wearing full ilvl 33+ blues and greens and blues of the fireflash/quickblade etc, aren't playing a shit spec, and have ele force+Satyr, you're gonna have a good time.

Can’t heal if you are dead my friend.
I will continue to stack stats for survivability thank you very much. It has worked for me in the past and I’m willing to bet it will work for me this expansion.

/cheers

jesus fk i've never seen so much misinformation/misinformed people on xpoff/twinkinfo

wtf did bfa do to u guys

So many people pulling numbers out off their asses and calling it bis lol.

It's alright to make up a way to gear your character, just don't treat it like something worth copying unless you actually have decent arguments for it.

What about 20% haste for 1.25s GCDs? That gives you an extra GCD every 6s. I may on my own here, but that's the first secondary threshold I try to reach.

The misinformation in this thread is so bad it would even make Rusks blush

Would you care to elaborate? In all seriousness, if I’m missing something big let me know. For me, read: Resto Shaman, stacking haste to 20% seems more beneficial. More haste means quicker cast times (less time to get kicked), an extra GCD every 5 casts, quicker weapon procs, and faster hots. I do value crit more than versa, but imho neither are worth dropping below that haste threshold to obtain.

My stat priorities are : has to 20% > int > stam > crit > versa

if youre a caster not stacking haste youre an idiot IMO

vers second for obvious reasons (frag belt, chants, etc)

... and faster hots.

Pretty sure that haste doesn't increase HoT tick time anymore, it just is a straight increase to the HoT's output. I don't think that was changed with pre-patch.

So a few xpacs ago it would have been something like rejuv naturally has 4 ticks for 100 health a tick, and you could get haste up to a breakpoint to get a 5th tick for a total of 500 health. Now getting that same amount of haste wouldn't change how many ticks, but each would heal for 125. With the new way there is no "breakpoint", so haste isn't wasted like it used to be (you could get half the haste and end up with ticks for 112).

EDIT: I misremembered slightly. Haste makes HoTs tick faster, but theres a factional tick at the end. So no breakpoints. But each tick amount is the same regardless of haste, except for the last one which is a fraction based on the amount of time since the previous tick.

People saying haste is worthless on a healer is what I was referring to. You seem to get it.
Whether or not you prioritize it first, it clearly is very important.

You get more ticks for the duration, so fast ticking. Also a fractional tick at the end, if you don't have enough for a full tick.

Alright then lol

You know a thread is gonna be super awful when the title is already in broken English...

On the topic of stacking stats for Hidden Satyr and EF, does the Elixir of Firepower (+8 to Fire Spell Power) increase the damage of Satyr, since Satyr is a Fire damage spell?

Is this a bigger DPS increase than Elixir of Wisdom? (+5 Int) in shorter fights?

Intelligence does matter... If I just go with regular intelligence on my MistWeaver Heal ticks are like 40... and if I go 250 intelligence they go up to like 58... that is a HUGE difference over the course of a game on all periodic heals.

It might not matter as much to a priest because they just have "lol I'm gud" heals, but for the unfortunate lesser classes stacking intelligence is a MASSIVE bonus.

Also doing 10% extra damage with versatility is not a joke... that adds up really fast.

I do think this kind of thing is more important on the bad classes like Monk/Shaman... other classes just have super heals regardless.

HASTE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. PERIOD. Your cool down times are simply not effected enough... I can get my targeted Monk heals down like .1 seconds if I go full HASTE and just screw up my entire chracter. Don't Do this.

Mistweaver Equation: Simplified:

2000HP > Intelligence > Versatility > does not matter
