Starter to Veteran Acct gold making tips

I know some expressed doubts about being able to afford enchants and heirlooms when upgrading a starter account in the time allotted. Here are some tips to help.

If you have a smartphone, get the mobile armory app. It will make working the Auction House much easier.

Flip desirable vendor items on the Auction House. This week I have been selling shirts I bought in SW from a vendor. Some vendor pets that are in out of the way places sell well. There are also profession recipes that sell decent.

Cage and sell battle pets from your collection that can be placed in a pet carrier.

Look for under priced items on the Auction House and flip them.

Sell Darkmoon Faire quest times on the Auction House (Captured Insignia, Monstrous Egg, etc). In the past 2 days I have made almost 2k gold doing this.

Make a DK and farm SFK. Sell xmog stuff and any blues you don't want. Take enchanting and DE the rest to sell the enchanting mats. If you take engineering and get the recipe for small seaforium charge you can open the locked chests. Also sell all the cloth. Having the mobile app is a huge plus to doing this.

Nice way to gain a bit of pocket change is to stash all the Blingtron greys you get while you're a F2P.Once you go vet you can vendor those off for a couple hundred gold. Every little bit helps.

Vets can't use the ah, the mail-box and are not able to generate more gold then 10g. You can however keep your gold on your character if it has more then 10g from before the veteran status.

When you upgrade, you will have subbed playtime. You need to do these things while your sub is still active.

Yes, once your sub time ends, you're considered veteran and are still allowed access to your 20s but the F2P restrictions are put back in place, such as no AH, mailbox, trading, chat channels, etc

Okay, I finally understand what ppl mean by veteran and take at their avantages. I am doing it right now but not knowing how you call it all. But, I didn't have to upgrade to WoD expension to get 10days, I just used my 10days free time I didn't use for long time. I built up 5characters up to lvl19 (lock XP) on Bleeding Hollow. I tried once WSG on their Battleground Realm and it's serious business. It's not like on Zul'jin, Aerie Peaks, Akama or Yersa servers (on the same Battleground Realm). BH Battleground Realm is so much harder than AP's one. I have atleast 4 good enchants on atleast 3 on them and I was no-match for them.

As far as I understand, you already had a old inactive account and placed your 10 day wod trial on that account and made some 19s and locked xp? If this is it then when you are going to let your account time, the 10 day free wod trial, run out again it will return the account back to the trial status and if you are logging in on those 19s they will not have locked xp anymore. This will only work with level 20s because they are automaticly level capped at 20 on a starter account aka xp-locked.

That's right, I have an old WoW inactive account which I didn't play since WotLK. I had a 10days WoD, make 5x lvl19 (by locking their XP @ lvl19) on BH. I still have some time left on the 10days, I don't know if the XP lock will still work after the 10days but it's worth a try.

Thats my point, it wont work for the 19s, it only works with 20s

if you want to gather gold before upgrading, take up archaeology and keep the items to sell after you upgrade

Fishing the crates out of debris at DMF for the high level ore and cloth can get you a fair bit on AH too

Well, if it will not work, I have a B plan.

B plan is: stay in the Battleground Realm AeriePeak-Zul'jin-Yersa-ThoriumBrotherhood-etc and delete a character as soon he hit lvl20, create an another and circle that process. Building a character from lvl1 to lvl10 takes me less than 2hours. Bracket lvl10-19 on this Battleground Realm with all the BoAs (I have over 60) is quite viable as soon I hit lvl10. i.e.: tonight I played my retribution pally lvl13 and I was 2nd best damage dealer on all those 2WSG I played. For the queues for WSG, there are less than 2mins. I play WSG (all other BGs) for fun in spare time.

I also sold stored mats I had on my toons. Made a fair chunk. Selling pets from a linked account is the best way though assuming you have expensive pets to sell.

With boas just run around 1 shotting things in the starter zone. Leveled my priest to 10 in less than 20 min.

Lvl up a priest is a little faster but I don't think you can lvl up a character 1 to 10 in less than 20mins (or I waste too much time in travel time). 1 to 7 in 20mins is possible.

Check for rare spawns, and level up from 6+ on murloc instaspawn spot in elwynn just dotting stuff with eleforce.
