. .. . . . but its exotic so how would you tame it before ?????? AFAIK you have to roll a new panda to have the pets :I
This is an awesome change and tempting me to roll one of those derpa hunters. BM is probably the lowest damage wise of all the specs. Giving them a little buff machine will help make them viable. Anything that expands specs/adds a little complexity to our pvp is welcome.
Guys, what this hype is all about?Chimeras are by far the best exotic pet to come out. They get a channel AoE with 100% up time as well as a slow with a 10 second CD. They will have the highest skill cap in terms of pet control because KC cancels breath so you have to be on top of it, but have so much potential as well. Perfect for guarding FC from stealthies, chasing down efc with slow, and a 5% multistrike to boot. The second best exotic pet is quilen, the battle Rez is huge. They also have the passive health regen and armor when their health goes below 40% which combo's really well with Cornered and Sac. The 5% crit also nice.

Apart from 1-2 BL's per game and switching to chimera for stealth control/10+5 buff BM offers nothing. Even though KC was silently buffed a little it's damage will still be too low, BM will probably be on par with surv in 6.2, but both far worse than MM.
Hunters already have best stealth detection and are very good FC guards, but switching to BM rather than MM will greatly cripple your ability to deal DPS.
And chimera/worm AOE spells, if wowhead formulas are right, do next to no damage, like 200 over 8sec.
Damage does win games, damage, skill, gear, everything counts.Damage doesn't win games, making plays does. I'd rather do a little less damage and be able to Brez a healer or catch a stealthy before the FC gets ganked. I guess it doesn't matter to most people, but AoE is also very important in arenas where openers matter for stealthies. Also, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to kill any MM with my BM just because of KC and being able to kite. Obviously if you want to herp derp mid every single game, MM might be the way to go. You will have much less utility but at least the numbers will look nice. Any decent player it going to LoS, mitigate or try to range that aimed shot though.

BM will deal not a little less damage, rather 40% or so less damage. Brez doesnt work in arena and in most BG's you will be able to use it once and that's all. You can catch stealthy using terrain, common sense and anti-stealth macro. You will not be able to kill MM, only if it's 1v1 and he is rushing to closed place where you can LOS him.
While BM might do something 1v1, he will be even less usefull in team fights, taking up chimera takes away either -25% healing debuff or +5% main stat which is usefull in many cases.
Do whatever works for you bro. No one is forcing you to roll a BM. The skill cap playing BM is much higher than surv or MM and some people can get a lot more out of their BM than others. No point neck boarding here, the gulch will dictate what's better.
I think that you can let yourself be BM and make plays because You have vet gear and enchants, it will be hard to execute well on starters
I dont think brez workw unless you're BM. Atleast it doesn't at endgame.Moth and crane already have battle rez, so I really dont think anyone will go bm for a quillen.
Well if their damage sucks, wouldn't it make more sense for them to go BM for support? Like brez, chimera slow, blood lust etc?I didn't intend to offend You, it's just true that vets can dish out more damage. The character in Your sig is a vet, and not a starter so pardon me for not knowing what other characters You have.
It actually had everything on topic and I didn't start off a vet vs starter discussion, I simply said that vets have more possibilities and it can work for them, but for a starter hunter it probably won't work because they are far behind in damage compared to vets and p2ps and probably won't want to sacrifice even more.
I don't really see what's so bad about bm hunters they seem quite viable...
and horde gets close access to the chimaeras!BM monks are more viable ... lolz. Seeing that their armor has been increased to 120% from 75%, i see an increasing damage from it as well. Wich mean the extinction of the other classes, i bet we will see BM x7 if we used to see it x3-x4. lol
But yeah OT : BM hunters have been good, sending your pet to deal with someone is awesome at one point. +They can tame exotic pets wich makes them way more viable team-wise.
