Definately no,

its completely bullshit,sometimes on Outland just one crappy white pet is "spawning" on bma,
I first thought that full Servers might be better because of more items showing off there,
but on low populated its just the same as on high populated -.-

Yeah, it seems to randomly fluctuate between 1 and 6 items at a time, regardless of server population.

Also I can't find any evidence of servers in sync

Confirmed. Just the other day there was no auctions on the BMAH for almost a full day (about 22 hours). Plus there have been other days I have checked several times during the same day and there was none.

Incorrect. I have known them be added many hours either side. However, it does seem to be more common in the hours around midnight.

Well on my server, new items are added exactly 23:30 every day. And all servers i know get their new items at the same time, all german. When no items are in the BMAH it seems that one auction is running out after 23:30 so no new items are added, but i need to check this more often to confirm this, it never happened on Nozdormu till now.
