Regarding Movement/CC/disrupts

Hunters get Disengage
Druids get Displacer Beast
Mages get Blink
Priests go invisible

Even if you land a successful windshear - the cooldown is so long you can't finish the kill - looks like Tauren would be the only ones capable with their racial.

Conclusion: Shamans get ___s_h_a_t___o_n__

I can't even 1v1 a priest simply because they have like 20 more spells then me and can double stack elemental proc dots - what is this garbage?


Regarding Damage

Average Lightning bolt damage as Ele is 300-400...

Meanwhile I'm getting hit 1.5k damage from Chaos Bolts and what not - the damage doesn't even come CLOSE to any other class. No point except you get to punt some people away from you "once in a while"

Conclusion: Only Viable option between the two is resto - and it still sucks ass.

Not a cry thread I'm just simply curious why they decided to stack the deck so heavily in other classes favor in regards to damage/cc

And I ran this bracket back in the day - I'm not some newfag - the current balance is laughable compared to when I used to beat Thunderstruk/Xkisses/Dirtyauction in duels way back when.
Anyone who says balance now compared to then is better is pretty laughable. I was in hundreds of 10v10 high profile premades.

Purging HoTs and PwS is what a shaman should do now. It's true that they are not in the best place right now but they aren't useless.

Oh i agree we aren't useless, but the current "support" role doesn't really sit right with me.

Besides the counter spell - mages can also spam polymorph - I remember when Polymorph used to ACTUALLY HEAL you while in sheep form - now the heal is pitiful and it is just another amazing spell interupt/cc
