For people saying they are "too strong" if you look at the TBC gear time and time again there is a plethora of sockets. Once socketed it will be equivalent to Wod rares in Primary stats with approx 25% less secondary stats and HALF the stamina. Meaning damage shriks a tad but our health pools shrink by almost half. If you think thats going to "balance the game" we will be doing absurd numbers still with way less health pool. Literally makes more classes 1 shot cannons. But hey that sounds "way more healthly" than our current situation... wrong

I'm saying we're fucked either way.

At the moment those with Gf'd gear are untouchable for a leveler due to huge hp pools and if we have to revert to gem tbc gear due to nerfs we'll still be in the situation you've described.

A leveler can obtain tbc items just like anyone else (to be able to instead of 1 shot but 3 shot us with higher stam gear). Thats like going into WSG in classic with white and green items vs full dungeon/blue boes and fishing hat/boot twinks and not expecting to get your shit smashed in.

Sure. But at the moment the damage output to hp ratio is huge whether you're in tbc gear or ilvl 44 gear. 1 shots will be very common if we have to gear up on tbc gear. Twink vs Twink 1 shots. Not just a leveler in greens.
It'll be interesting how it plays out and a new normal will be established however I don't think it'll be an easy transition & could shaft the whole twinking community.

1 button kill shots aren't that fun imo.

Its more than just the twinking community. Its end game pvp too. The damage vs health pools arent matching/scaling how it should. I would expect a lot of damage toning rather than "item nerfs" as this isnt whats mainly causing the issue. (items dont help but not the sole reason damage is out of control)

Yeah there will probably be some of that or as they have done in nearly every expansion - provide end level with huge ilvl increases and a type of borrowed power to balance end game pvp and ignore lower levels for the most part unless something is completely game breaking.

I managed to solo a 49 rogue on my shaman last night, stuff like that will force blizzards hand in nerfing the items we have.
 
not trying to derail; just adding that after the daily reset Hoarfrost dropped ilvl 44 ring for my 20 so it's looking like rings, neck, cape still haven't been nerfed

again, just reconfirming
 
I think someone said shields were affected, but that offhands were not. Never hurts to check, though.

So the vast majority of epic gems are now +2/+2 now?
 
Okay, turning our attention to other things that one day might get nerfed.

In addition to the garrison gloves and ring quest, I believe there were other garrison rare quests that came later for other slots. Has anyone looked into if those quests appear and at what level they might do so?
