PTR Set Hearth to..........

If I can get to SW, Darn and IF arent a problem. The IF and Darn portals are largely redundant. And I'd rather the timeless isle run to get to WOD than using precious gliders or having to time a ghost flight to get back to Panda

To each their own, I guess.

I have a bad feeling that the new Portal Rooms in SW & ORG won't be that useful to us.

Ouch, really? I really hope that isn't the case, but with Blizzard being the way they are I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't a bug. This will hurt new players as well as old if lowbies can't easily access capital cities.

Anyways, the large disadvantage of leaving New Dal is losing access to the PVP consumable vendor. https://www.wowhead.com/npc=119485/lieutenant-dorgen It's not a big deal if you prefer to PVP without consumables, but for some people it kinda sucks

Agreed. From SW u can catch the Exodar portal and from Exodar, the Darn portal.
But...........
I don’t do trains :p
So all Háwk will be parking himself at Stormshield.
Could be interesting as I think they may be bringing back Ashran so could be a lot of activity there.
Oh, and Eternium Thread is cheaper there than at the Shrine :D

Just an aside, anyone considering the Pandaria - Draenor or vice versa portal, make sure u have the FP’s picked up and 3.5g on hand for the flight to the nearest main city.

Agreed. But the drop rate of Marks is so low that it’s just as easy to save up a few then make the trek to New Dal when u have a few built up.

I think it will come down to personal preference - each to their own. But Blizz has screwed the lowbies up with this - trying to limit their non-paying customers....... how dare they ;)

Monk, dk shares same mechanic. it is what it is. a way to port back.
in 8.1.5 you will be close to the point of your first departure instead of just returning to gy.

Been added in legion i believe.
 
Yikes.... I was thinking about finally coming back from 1 year and half of hibernation (aboard thus couldn't play on NA server) and this is the first thread I saw. All my toons are parked at the Shrine right now. When is this gonna take place?

Sadly, no. It just replaces your normal Hearthstone with a fancy animation.

Fun F2P use though. If you get REAL hard up for bag space, these toys function as a hearthstone without taking up the bag space of your actual heartstone, so you can clear up that one spot if you really need it.
