Separate f2p/veteran forums discussion

General 20-29 bracket forum
- Sub forum/guide trial section
- Sub forum/guide vet section
- Sub forum/guide 29 section

Because it is the 20-29 bracket. Giving groups within a bracket a seperate place seems like the best idea. Splitting more is just giving more hostility.

Farming for years created hostility not being a separate community.

Farming is not solely a p2p thing but a pvp thing and happens on all levels of play.

yeah but concerning the complaining F2Ps or type of hate f2p have towards 29s or former 24s in general comes from far back years of farming consistently.

For those of you that stated that "relevant information" got regulated to second page status....
Even with almost half of a page of stickies in this section of level 20's we have multiple threads that have not been touched in five(5) days. Multiple... And only 3 that have been posted in today(as of this writing), including this one. And I bumped two of them.
The forum is fine the way it is. You all are making a mountain out of a molehill.

No, no and no. Just stop with pointing fingers. Hate the game not the player and do not point it at a certain play-style/type of player you seem not to like or have troubles with accepting. Farming is a general thing not a 20-29 bracket thing, that some players do this is the cancer not 24s and 29s in general. Even the f2p style has these showerbags.

I've added a f2p subforum for now. The goal is to create a forum to catalog f2p specific information and help f2ps organize themselves while allowing those that want to remain part of the larger community to continue using this forum. If people want to duplicate the relevant stickies just pm me or another mod and we'll sticky it. I'm going to be taking advice from some f2p players and moving old f2p threads to the new forum in the next few weeks.

Worth a try. :) Hope this gets people to just stop arguing and just evaluate it calmly!

So we have now:

20-29 bracket forums, Level Twenty forums - sub F2P forums.. to cover 20-29 bracket.

Why can't it simply be put all under the 20-29 bracket? All this seperating is not the right choice, it still creates seperate groups of players with attitudes who do not accept other then their own play-style while they have to understand that they are a part of te 20-29 bracket.

This is just wrong. It might solve the organising and acces issue but it doesn't solve the hate you are creating as a forum by seperating play-styles who already belong in the 20-29 bracket forum.

Clearly your experiences in the bracket differ from those of us who have no respect for P2Ps.

I'm glad that you don't know that frustration. Now could I ask you to stop projecting your desire to unite people against their will? :) kthx

Wasn't something like this attempted in the past, and basically everyone was rioting about it? To be honest, I didn't really see much problem with the use of starter and veteran tags for posts.

Stop pointing fingers at a group of players. You are just selective targetting a group of players and spreading hate and your reason for it is they are p2p.

Don't put me down as someone who doesn't know and understands the handicaps f2p has. You know pretty well I am one too.

If it is against their will is irrelevant. It is about giving information the best way as possible and without creating more people like you who hate on p2ps and then yes merging all into 1 bracket forum with sub sections for the different styles is the best solution to counter this childish problem TI and some members have.

Ya'll pretty well know that all of this belongs in the 20-29 bracket forum and making a certain group of sub players specialsnowflakes is unhealthy and stupid.

Also if the mods and admins looked at the problem as a whole back with the first discussion we wouldn't have been in this situation. They just simply didn't anticipate on what would going to happen and dumped both into the same section and now they acknowledge it was a mistake by making that seperate section. It's a start but far from a perfect solution if you want TI (and its players) less toxic.

Just by judging by the last 5-6 posts it is already an "us vs them" mentality again. When in reality many of the "vets" being labeled as p2p are truely not. Many of these players paid a singular fee of what boils down to what costs similar to a Happy Meal, a Happy meal... And these people are being segregated from a community... Not one community, but two now. Pretty sad stuff indeed.
We will just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

now make someone who was pro f2p having their own section and been on this site for ages a mod and let him, not some random other dude take care of it.

How is it that starters having their own sub-forum will lead to players being more toxic?

When level 20 twinking meant starter, this section was one of the less dramatic on TI. P2P twinking at 19 and 24 were the sections filled with drama with the players with horseshit attitudes.

Those were the same players who spent their time /spitting while they GY farmed with their guilds every night.

So no, not all P2Ps are toxic. Not all of them ruin what would otherwise be an excellent gaming experience. Not all of them believe that their dominance comes from skill rather than gear.

But most of them do.

That's the problem. Obviously the issue has become more complex with many F2Ps transitioning to Veteran. That is what it is, and the bracket cannot help that. The very least that can happen is that the few remaining starters get their own place to communicate with each other, since they are now the minority in the level 20 bracket.

There are natural divisions in-game that suit themselves well to divisions on the forums. It is the choice of starters to have our own section. It is not your decision to exclude us from having one.

So please enough of this "starters spread hate" bullshit. That's asinine - some people are going to be toxic, just as some p2ps will be as well. That has no bearing on whether or not the communities as a whole should be separated.

The differences have always outweighed the similarities - and if starters (or veterans) need more players to make an event happen, they can easily shoot a message to the respective forum or send a message on the many skype groups.

You would know that if you had been active in this bracket over the past 4 years like I have, friend. But thank you for, what was it again? Being one of the first on AP years ago? That's uh, cool. How many 10v10s have you organized? How many tournaments have you organized? How many arenas have you put together amongst a handful of a declining community at 2 in the morning? How have you been a leader?
