I didn't report it at all, and farmed plenty of satchels on every twink i care about lol. Still happy it got nerfed. Nice of them to get that in before I wasted more time this weekend.

Damage/health getting squished doesn't make gear irrelevant. ilevel 55 leather boots are 11 agil, 17 stam and 15ish secondary stats. Feet of the Lynx are 7 agil and 7 stam. May as well play naked if that difference doesn't matter.

Even ignoring the dps stats, that's 90 hp from one of these items. That alone is pretty significant when we're down to 1300-1400 health. One piece of gear never looks like it makes much difference, but it adds up.

But this this is different. This isn't a quest reward, or an intended event.. This was very clearly a bug from the get go.

I farmed plenty of satchels on my best 20s, but I'm glad to see this bug fixed before live game (not that I ever thought it'd go live anyway). Things like this aren't "what twinking is all about."
 
How can some of you think that using GF weapons is morally fine , and using sachels is not?
At least satchels could be gained by everyone, while GF weapons/legion event weapons cannot.

You all reading here ARE morally GRAY, and between some of those who thinks they are GOOD there are a few who only care about keeping their acquired advantage.

GF weapons and gear could have been obtained by everyone. Are you saying that people who grinded out gear 10 years ago shouldn't be allowed to keep their gear? I think it's morally wrong for you to think that.

I had more i was going to say, but then queue popped and now I can't remember...

People who want all bugs to be hidden and not spoken about just made it worse by speaking about it and bash on people who disagreed, this created animosity that have just made the problem they complained about worse.

I know people who never would have taken the time to report a thing like this do it now just because they disagree with how people have handled this AND they want these major bugs gone. Top KEK
 
seems like those who got their Legion gear want the satches to be fixed in order to stay BiS.
And those who haven't got Legion gear are happy to see they cold beat the Legion gear with the Satches.

But it all got fixed now, and the Legion geared guys are happy cuz they now have use of it in bg's wich makes their twinks even better now.
Lets hope BFA pre-patch event brings some balance into this.

To be fair everyone had the same opportunity to get Invasion gear.

I will say however, it's Funny you talk about the bugged gear being over powered when you main a survival hunter during legion. Sure they're not bugged or anything but they sure as shit are over powered man haha. But i am a rogue and hunters are the enemy ;) See ya out there.

If engineering cap is a bug, then so are all the reps and tabards available at low level, as well as AGM (when it was available), LFH, Parachute cloak, etc. Lets just take it all away. /sarcasm

Satchel gear was unquestionably a bug and I'm fine that it's gone. I don't like the idea of grandfathering things that are of relatively large advantages. Makes making a new toon boring.

But the engineering items available in bfa aren't really that strong compared to MoP or even WoD numbers due to squish. People are too convinced that the ilvl of these items are what makes them op. Look at the stats.

Back in cata, AGM absorbed like 2/3rds the health of the player, basically serving almost as a LoH. Back in mop we had leg enchants that gave 42 ap as well as 17 crit. We had wep enchants that granted like 90 agility procs (stackable). And for the longest time we have crusader thats given 100 strength. Not sure why people are making a big deal about this.
