I guess I missed a lot while playing classic but RIP can't q bg's as f2p in dragonflight.

Do you have xp turned off?
If so then it's totally normal, personally it works just fine.
If it's a level 20 character I'm afraid you won't be able to get xpon back without a sub thus no bg for the character.

Yeah, the npc will take my 10g but that char is still RIP.

You can’t que bgs with your xp off. You’ll need to get a gm to turn it back on for you
