Rerolling a character over and over for sockets

Anyone done this? For a socketed bramble staff maybe?

I've done 2 x 20 paladins and looting the 5 or so 1 h's from WOD and BFA that can proc a socket. Failed both times. Not sure how many lvl 20 pallies I want to make though lol. It seems as though these will be hpal BIS next patch (I think).

Which ones from WoD can? Are they apexis rare drops? Cuz I dont think normal WoD stuff can socket, that staff is a weird exception... I could be wrong, but I've never seen it do anything but epic upgrades on normal WoD stuff below xpac cap.

Not really something I'd consider worth the time commitment.

Idk either. I thought all WoD rares (just the normal one time rare mobs) could drop socket gear. I got a trink with speed from a WoD rare today. If they can't then there's only 2 x 1h weapons from BFA rares left for hpal :<

Which trinket? It's possible, I've just never seen it... like I've never seen an epic bramble staff either. They warforge, but never actually purple. WoD stuff is all sorts of different. Like dungeon drops CAN proc socket at level cap, but not before.

Like i've never seen https://www.wowhead.com/item=113408/grekas-dentures?bonus=6691 below WoD cap with any tertiary or socket. Ever. Just blue and epic.

Where would you farm at 22? And I suspect green boe weapons have less intellect than wod / bfa rares on PTR

yes, lvl 22 & lvl 23 farmers get weapon/off-hand drops from Zuldazar & Tiragarde Sound @ lvl req 19, ilvl 25.

That trinket is BfA, not WoD.

WoD normal rare drops arent like the ilvl 44 bramble staff. It's a weird hybrid thing that can socket, tert, and warforge.

edit- honestly... it really should only be a matter of time until the staff gets fixed/nerfed, but blizz fun police work in mysterious ways.

Oh ye you're right. My bad. Well at least that means the BFA rare 1h's can probably socket. I've also seen a epic precious bloodthorn loop in a BG too. I'll make 1 more lvl 20 pally then give up and try lvl 22 weapon farming.

As far as i know all the BfA rares can get socket/tertiary. I dont know about regular BfA quest rewards... but i hope not.

I dont remember it happening, it'd drive me crazy to find out it could happen... lol.

But check the auction house too, not as much demand for those items Andre is showing with legion artifacts being so easy.

edit- or.... maybe more demand cuz no one lists them up.

This a WoD rare I was going to farm on new characters (along with the other 4 rares that can drop 1 h hpal weaps in WoD). However it's phased. I think you need to complete a bunch of quests to access that rare. How you know it can socket though?

sorry i assumed that it can because brambleking staff can. but upon closer examination, i think it can only have speed/leech.
