Oh yes, I just said that.
The Worste thing that has happened to the 19 twinking bracket is the institution of the proffesion buffs.
I am honestly sick of seeing the Twinks crutching on Lifeblood, the extra stam ( 70hp is not so bad, this is my least disagreeable proffesion buff) or the extra crit.
I Think that Blizzard should be removing the Proffesion buffs, not completely from the game, but from the lower level brackets, by at least implementing a level restriction.
To be honest, The proffesion Buffs were a novelty in the beginning, and I'm not going to lie, I myself did the grind and levelled my herb and mining while trying to minimize exp gain at the same time. And yes, it was cool to see the pretty flowers pop up all around and get that nice, rediculously OP, Non interuptable, Non Purgeable/ dispellable heal off during a heated part in a wsg or arena.
But what about those who left it too late to get the Proff's due to exp? that was the first issue I had with them, But hey, who cares ? exp is officially gone now and the Proffesions are accessible to anybody, its just another part of twinking now right? Those who want the best, can work for it?
I dont know about most of you who have been twinking since Vanilla WoW, But I personally would prefer to see the removal of the proffessions from the low level twinking brackets and im sure many of you would agree with me that twinking was alot better before the PANICBUTTON lifeblood heal.
I can hear alot of people right now going " Well, Hey SCREW YOU RESTO! we worked hard to get those proffession buffs!, we had to grind it out, and we DESERVE these tasty little Hp or Crit buffs in combination with a Rediculously OP Heal!"
This is where I am sadly going to have to disagree.
Those who say they " Worked Hard" for their 450 Herb, Skinning or Mining may indeed think they have worked terribly hard and deserve the benefits of the proffesion buffs, but let me tell you. From experience, I levelled my Herb from lvl 1-450 in TWO, not five, not ten, TWO afternoons of Dual Box Running myself around with a friends lvl 80 DK.
Bringing me convieniently to my Next topic of debate. This so called " Hard worked for" Proffesion buff that took me 2 afternoons to attain, IN COMPARISON to the 6 consecutive weeks it took me to catch a pair of Fishing boots ( AND YES I KNOW, 6 WEEKS IS NOTHING! COMPARED TO OTHER HORROR FISHING STORIES), and then the following various attempts to get the fishing hat and 2 more pairs of boots.
Did We not have to work CONSIDERABLY harder to get the fishing boots than we did to get proffession buffs in about 99% of cases? ( excluding those lucky bastards who caught fishing hat first try LOL ) and what happened to those? they instead of having their Item Level reduced to remove issues with the High level enchants being placed on them, had their Level requirement raised, and taken from our bracket.
If they think a pair of boots with 12 stam, and the ability to have run speed+ stam enchant, or Vitality, or + 10 hit, + 10 crit placed on them are too OP to be in the bracket how can they not see that a non dispellable, interuptable, purgeable heal over time for 700 + HP is?.
There are those who love the benefits of Lifeblood, and there are those who have twinked since the beginning and would give anything to have their trusty fishing boots back, I know which I would rather.
As to the issue of Leg Patches and Librams " queue the STOP QQ'ing ABOUT PATCHES NOOB flamery "
I dont merely think that leg patches should be brought back as a thing for players to crutch on. At first when they removed the patches, I was all for it, taking twinking back to the dark ages if you will.
Then I realised the removal of Leg patches and librams, has severely put the skew of class balance in the 19 bracket way out of whack.Putting many classes at a distinct disadvantage in comparison to others.
Consider this, The loss of lets say 400 Hp from nethercleft and 100 hp from libram to hat, or the 35 SP and 200 hp , Many classes lost around 500 hp, or a decent amount of spellpower.
Greatly reducing their survivability and ability to output DPS, whereas some classes simply lost HP and their ability to do damage was effected in no way whatsoever , AND NOW they are doing the SAME amount of high damage, to targets with LOWER health and LOWER ability to output damage.
i.e a mage vs a hunter,
Both the Mage and the Hunter have lost lets say 500hp, but the hunter still does exactly the same Ranged dps as before. whereas the mage has become extremely squishy, and lost + 35 spellpower and a decent amount of ability to do damage, and is reduced to sheep spamming the hunter until a buddy can come along and help.
If blizzard were to bring back Leg patches, and Librams, and Fishing Boots, It would be the best thing that could happen to the 19 twinking population, and I believe that this, in combination with the removal of Proffesion buffs from the low brackets, would breathe new life into twinking and not only benefit us, but blizzard too.
What are you guys thoughts on this? obviously I have quite a few thoughts about this and I am curious to see what you guys think.
Maybe some sort of petition, supported by Twink info would be able to be put to blizzard to show what the twinking community is looking for, especially considering the new found interest in twinking by blizzard.
Anyway, Thankyou for reading, and leave Replies
