Raidbots/simming won't work. Show me the big dps

Here is an all out crit warrior(also high haste). 34% crit, 2% vers, 25% haste, 114 strength. I wanted to see what high crit simmed like https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-gb/character/us/illidan/prettygoated 534 DPS

https://www.raidbots.com/simbot/report/2xjy6CB24Wb3DmT5f5tM9W
hey thanks for running this! the build feels good when you crit, but when you don't it feels terrible. is there a consensus on what build produces the best and most consistent results?

It does not show real stat values, at this point this becomes about trinket scumming. I'd still prefer Greka's in dungeons.

@rahzee Your welcome but note that since then I have concluded that the sim just won't work for us. The only avenue we currently have is to give us 5 minutes on the 4 target dummies.

Synkro, yeah i agree with you. DPS ultimately depends on who has the most stats and i am pretty sure you have every stat available to us. So unless someone comes up with a different stat distribution or some craziness that just pumps its probably just down to lucky trinket procs. I don't know a way we can take luck out of it unless we extended the time but its already boring at 5 minutes. Also we kill stuff so fast 5 minutes is just a measure of potential. I still do think it was interesting that Nowak was able to scale lifestealing with crit and verse to do more damage than whirlwind. Might be something there but i think he is only short the ring sockets compared to you so probably not gaining 75 dps.

I'm guessing you still prefer Greka's in dungeons because you leave the cannons behind?

Cannon is an overkill for pack clearing and Greka seems to be more helpful on single target. Honestly i didn't try Cannon in dungeons but it never felt needed, maybe i'm wrong.

Something some of you are doing that wasnt being done at the start of this thread is screenshotting right at the 5 minute mark while you are still DPS'ing
When I did my original runs I stopped DPSing at the 5 minute mark and waited for the meter to stop before screenshotting

I did mention that the meter is a bit inconsistent at displaying the DPS at the end of the test, and that potentially the more reliable method might simply be taking the damage done number and dividing it by 5 minutes (300 seconds).

At the end of the day this is just for fun in the moment, since whenever the TW gear gets nerfed (next patch probably?) all of these DPS numbers won't matter anymore. Though I think what's done so far demonstrates that trinket choice can effect DPS by a decent amount, perhaps in the range of a 50 difference; but is heavily RNG dependent.

I mean originally this was all to figure out what stat balances produced the best results wasn't it? But it was always muddied up a bit with trinket procs in the first place.

Its more accurate to screenshot while you are still dpsing. After you stop it waits until you get out of combat so it logs a bunch of dead time depending on when bliz decides your out. It's much worse on pet classes you pretty much have to dismiss them to exit combat with the dummies.

Yes, this has devolved into something just for fun. I would like to steer it back in the direction of discovering what stat distribution is best but that is difficult and less fun. Also it has become pretty apparent that just having more stats is very powerful so having it be a dps "contest" discourages people that don't have perfect or near perfect gear form contributing

I have thought about excluding trinkets completely but that is unfair to people that have stat sticks there. I also thought about excluding cannonball as it is obviously an outlier with the damage it can do. So what i have decided to do in the short term is to still use the overall dps for the contest but i am going to deduct the dps contribution of damage based trinkets like cannonball and input that as a second number that is more representative of the actual stat based dps. I am still going to order toons on the overall dps.

That makes the non cannonball numbers 683 for synkro and 674 for Rahn

Here is the latest from my twink. Now just missing 2 stats on boots and sockets on mech rings. I did multiple attempts on the target dummies with 2 different setups 24% haste and 15% haste.
The 24% haste, 29% crit, 9% verse, 127 str setup did an average of between 650-655 dps with a high of 659 dps.
The 15% haste, 32% crit, 15% verse, 127 str setup did an average of 665 with a high of 683(that the screenshot failed on so i will use a 673)
Both setups did 30 sec burst between 680-720 on average with the highest burst being 757 that did happen on the 24% setup

My rotation has always been charge-ww-ww-ww-ww-ww-ww-ww-leave instance group, extremely effective :Troll:
You guys really put a lot of thought into this!

@BudLightning Thanks for contributing! With your gear that is some strong dps, 672 with the trinket procs and 630 without. I will get you added to the list.

@wackytabaccy Yes, i have put too much thought into this but with my twinks i have always strived for perfection (my main also i suppose). My original hope was to get a working sim to finally determine what stat distribution was optimal but led to the realization that the sim would never work for us and the only avenue is in game testing. Then that led to there are sweet spots for dps like hitting 15% haste or 24% haste but ultimately the best dps comes from having the most stats like Synkro. But you are correct it doesn't matter a lot when we one shot trash and kill bosses in 8 seconds.

@Zly , I get ya. I was going to reroll and regear my toons but it was underwhelming. I do like that it gives you a diff option for Pally and you can make and lock new toons at 10.

I finally got vigilance charm after 72 kills... here's my no trinket BS submission.

Thanks for the redo, i will get it updated. Very solid dps! This is much more helpful for trying to understand the best stat distributions. I am going to leave your other submission in there also as it is helpful for looking at good trinkets

No problem, thanks for all of your efforts! I intend to do some more self comparison over the next few days with ilvl30 socket vs ilvl 60 TW gear. You get more str with sockets, but I get a feeling the sheer amount of secondaries from a full TW kit may prove worthwhile. I'll try to only post once I've got a good update.

If you're looking for what I consider an average 11 TW warr Wackytabaccy is a good example. I run Amnesia neck and haven't found any other socketed items yet for him. Kept all the haste gear and got enchants. I have so much fun with it, all I'm doing now is trinket and token farming essentially.

I would like to see the results of a more tw gear focused twink than what we have on the list so far. So i would appreciate an entry from one or two. i don't expect it to be great but who knows I have been surprised/wrong many times.

Heres my 1st go in full TW gear
Nightmare egg shell is pretty useless, saw it proc twice and it didnt proc at all until the 3 minute mark

Gotta admit full TW did better overall than I thought it would.
My STR is a lot lower than in socketed gear, and run speed is non existent.
Lifesteal out damaged whirlwind.

Gonna try again here in a sec with a diff trink
Vers without the trink proccing was at 25%, there was a couple seconds left in the vigilance charm proc when i took the screenshot
