1. Why this thread exists

I agree with some concerns raised here. A lot of questions are short and will have a short answer, so if you want, there doesn't need to be a thread for each of them. :) I certainly don't want people to stop posting whatever threads they consider relevant, only post in here if you want to!



2. How to use Site Search

In the upper right corner of this site you will find a search box that you can use to search the entire forum for your keyword(s):​



You can narrow it down to the F2P section by clicking on Search Forum while you're on the main F2P Twinking forum page:​

You can use the Advanced Search to narrow it down further, but usually this won't be necessary. Let's say you want to farm materials for profession levelling during Darkmoon Faire, and are looking for a guide. Type Darkmoon Faire Farming, hit enter or click Search, and in a very short time you will have a small number of matching threads!​



In this example both the Darkmoon Faire Mat Farming list and Rhaellia's awesome Darkmoon Faire Guide are worth checking out. <3

3. Other options to find answers

If you don't find an answer, you might consider the following:
  • Post a new thread!
  • Post in an existing thread or guide that is related to your question. (Possibly contributing a crucial bit of information to that thread!)
  • You are welcome to PM most people, Shfthappens and Klinda have offered, and I wouldn't mind either if you sent me a PM. :)
  • You could ask in this thread!

Most of the time you will find an answer to your question or a thread related to it using the Site Search feature in the upper right corner of this site:

  • You could post in an existing thread or guide that is related to your question, moving that thread closer to completeness.
  • You are probably welcome to PM most people, certainly me.

2. I use to frequent bungie.net halo forums when I was a serious halo player. Some forum user created a "let me google that for you" for bungie called let me search bar that for you. They were identical and it was the funniest thing, just thought I would share, it has since been taken down since bungie parted ways with microsoft and they no longer have halo forums

3. It would also be important to note that people who do not understand how forums work have regulated guides to some never used part of the website and they don't get any traffic. As such, you should check out the guides section to compile the list. It is important, not only to me personally, that we don't let the hard work of people like Pinochet go to waste because people think the free to play section is the wrong section for a free to play guide.

edit: :O sorry I was not trying to say that this thread is unnecessary, simply trying to help you locate all of his threads because there are a lot! Trying to say quite the opposite actually, keep on keeping on Yde. Continue BEING important

and edit: why don't we make a guide to using the forums if there isn't one already? make it into a sticky and fill it out with detailed info on how to use/ get the most out of the forums?

Oh, don't worry. :p

I didn't think to include the guides as they are already stickied! I know where they are, I did consult the holy pally one. :) I will add them in.

I do still think this should be deleted if people don't use this for the question-answer game, but I will be away two weeks starting Thursday, so I won't actually be able to. ^^

Aw, nonsense. ^^ You're well geared on Klinda, so I doubt you'll need my gear, but I will be on holiday, so if you want to play around with specs, I have some prot and ret gear, too. You're also welcome to continue gearing anything on AP so I have less work. Uh, I mean so you can have a taste of the community.

Well, if people actually read all the stickies and the 'Search the forum..' text... Ah nevermind. It could be a good idea, start it! :)

It was a very smart move to put guides in their own section. Now for people who need guides they can easier find them all located in the same place without sifting through hundreds of other threads.

Hey Ark or anyone...
I see some folks are using the Addon OMNI CC
So I down loaded it along with some other random crap...
But, nothing is working BUT Recount and F2P
Any clue to why?
Can someone list what I need to do to get Addons to work please

Oh, OmniCC is one of the Addons that downloads in an enclosing folder, maybe you've dropped that folder into the addons one? As you didn't list the other adons you installed I don't know about them. :)

Should look something like this, the folders are the same on Windows:

EDIT: Also, while OmniCC is working fine for me, some of your other troubles could be due to the latest patch, as a lot of addons will show up out of date and won't be loaded on default.

OMNI CC is sitting in the addon folder right next to Recount and recount is working.... this was all PRE patch... 2 weeks ago
also does anyone know if I buy [h=2]Wrath of the Lich King CD only.... or do I need to buy burning crusade first?[/h]will i be able to 'upgrade' my f2p account without paying anything? a guy is selling a new CD WOTLK for 10 bucks
I'm not sure if Dalaran or Wintergrasp has Any PVP items avail that I can't get in SW.

that is Exactly the problem, same with ALL the addons i loaded except recount which was working... woot junk seller hopefully works after this too. Little "late" now that im geared...
now to log on and see how hard set up for OMNI CC is going to be
