Questions & Answers

Ok I have 1 or 2 questions about F2P twinking

first I will let you know that I played a lot of 19 twinks but 19 and 20 are very different from the gear stats scalling and things like that so I have to ask here

First I would love to know what is the most Active F2P server ( I dont care about US or EU)?

second I would love to know what class I'm going to make

I know your going to say what you good with or what you love to play but the fact is that I played them all and I love them all so I will just describe what I,mlooking for and you guys plz guide me to what would be my best choice for that bracket!!

I'm actually looking for a class that have

good mobility ( I hate running after the efc for years, if I catch him once (without a healer) I want him dead )

good burst ( I dont care if I dont have very constant damage I want to hit hard then get back )

some surivability ( anything that can keep me alive or let me escape when things goes bad ) some heals or invisibility or escape like disengage anything that can save my life once in a BG at least

What class would you guys think would fit the best, the gameplay I want to have?

plz let me know guys ^^

EU is Aggramar for Horde and Twisting Nether for Alliance
Sounds like u wanna play a druid :)
But since u played all classes ur probaly gonna end up rolling one of each :)

good mobility, good burst, some survivability
plz let me know guys ^^

from what you said, there a few class fit your description.

hunter, pretty much nail it, but the bracket kinda overrun with hunters

prot paladin, good damage, mobility comes from which talent you choose. heal/bubble for survivability.

(balance) druid, good damage(if you don't mind the cast time), hot and instant 60% travel form mount speed for great escape/survival/mobility.

rogue, 1.2k ambush crit, not much survivability if a dot on you.

I heard arm/prot warrior is now good,
ele shaman are underated

Well thx a real lot for all your answers

I will roll a druid now I'm just asking if I go feral or boomkin not sure what would be my best choice

PS: I rolled on Aerie peak for the moment

Maybe a troll boomkin and a worgen feral would be my best option what do you guys think about it?

This goes out for anyone who knows anything about computers.. Yasueh if you could reply soon I'd trust you most :)

this one

or this one

or lastly this one

My range is right around $200 so which of those 3 are worth the money if any or which is the best?

They all have onboard graphics which won't be any good for gaming, so you'd need to buy a PCI-E graphics card to upgrade. The only one that will allow that without too many issues is the Optiplex 755MT (mini tower), because there won't be space for a graphics card in either of the SFF (small form factor) versions. It will still limit you to a shorter single slot graphics card though, because of the big CPU heatsink, and the power supply is unlikely to handle a more capable graphics card too. It does have more standard parts though, so you could upgrade everything one bit at a time.

I only understood the verbs lol

guys i also have a computer question.
A few months ago i was doing some wotlk dungeons and my wow would completely freeze up as soon as the dungeon starts, sometimes it would flicker 5-6 times then just freeze up . my graphics card is a geforce 6150se and i have not updated it yet since i bought the computer back in 2007 i believe.
It is a hp with vista sp1 on it

Holy crap. My phone is more powerful than your PC. Like, a LOT more.

What's your budget? You can get a new one for pretty cheap.

im looking to get a laptop, at most $400.
could i get one for this price at say best buy or some retail store that is capable of playing wow with no issues

Last year I picked up an HP Pavilion with AMD A10 quad core for $600 out the door. I got it for a steal because Best Buy was trying to push the new i7 machines. I typically get 30-40 frames per second out in the world and 60-80 indoors. The only time it hangs up is SW, Org, or Dal, but that's a server-side issue, not client-side.

The same specs should probably be more in the $400 range now.

Yes.

My best advice is to do your homework, shop around, and most importantly BE PATIENT. I looked for a solid YEAR before I bought my current car. I got a gem for a song. Trust me, patience is always rewarded.

well bestbuy.com has a Toshiba laptop for $300 , should this work fine for WoW?

6 GB RAM, and expandable to 16 GB is pretty nice. You probably won't be able to run WoW on high or ultra settings, but medium should be fine.

Go to the store, and ask the guy.

LF a macro to kill psyfiend. Can be either a /target Psyfiend then the next line to kill it with an instant cast spell, and then target last target, which I don't know how to format, or something that would kill the psyfiend w/out targeting it. I believe the format would be something like /cast [Target=psyfiend] Conflagrate

That'd go something like this
Code:
/target Psyfiend
/cast Conflagrate
/targetlastenemy

But I would not suggest using that macro. It could screw up at any moment.

For example, if your partner destroys the Psyfiend before you, the macro would "ignore" the first line. You'd end up casting Conflagrate on your current target (not the Psyfiend) and your target would switch to your previous one (i.e. the target that you had before your current one, instead of before the Psyfiend).

Perhaps you could add some extra lines to avoid that but that'd just be unnecessary complexity.

I'd personally go with that. It's easier and I think what you said should work. It'll either do it's job or it won't. It won't "mess up" if something's wrong, like in the first case.

Code:
/cast [target=Psyfiend, exists] Conflagrate

looks like i have a pretty good grasp on which computer i should get. Now also since i am moving i need a new internet provider. Time Warner Cable now has a $14.99 plan that is 2mbps down/1 mbps up, is this good for wow to have no lag? i currently have att dsl which my dad won't change and is crap, takes entire day to download new patches bc its only 0.67 mbps.

Thank you, I will have to test this when I get home. Much love!!

It didn't work =/
