Pyrium Weapon Chain Possible bug?

Why should someone be punished for this when nobody was punished for:
Leg armors
Naxx Enchants
70 PvP shoulder enchants
Librams
150 hp / 6 stats to chest
Enti's Quenched Sword
And waaaay more?

This is far different from gemming because gemming is an in game bug that players abused. If you apply this to your weapon, this is working as intended and is in no way exploiting a bug. It just so happens to work by coincidence. This is extremely comparable to leg armors which worked as intended and did not require an exploitive action such as going to an instance with a higher level to acquire the gems.

Just playing devil's advocate here, would like to see some more thoughts

Can any lvl 81 apply it to your weapon, or do you need to apply it yourself?
 
You need a high level main to do it.

And as far as reporting people goes? I am with Mocha on this one.

I mean honestly what's reporting someone going to do anyway?...

if a GM honestly confronts a player about it they can just be like

'Whoops sorry chief, I put this on my BoA I was using to level my alt! Sent it to my tinke cuz i wna pwn n88bz'

And they would probably be like.

'Well. Okay. Bye'

On another side note.

The only classes I think that will use this are classes that duel wield, other wise they would most likely lose too much stats in order to gain any tangible benefit from it..

Such as enhance shamans... Rogues... Fury warriors... Ext... Doubt you will see hunters or ferals using it unless in a BiS'ed max agi / crit set where you can afford to lose the 25 agi to weapon and can make it up through just 'cannoning' DPS gear without any hit except for running with boA leather helm (And BoA leather shoulders for ferals)

Doubt there's a snow balls chance of seeing mages or boomkins or other int based classes using this...

I honestly say just let it go. For these reasons and reasons stated by Mocha.

Most of those things you listed could benefit all classes/specs.

This gives a disgusting benefit (white hard cap) to a few specs.

It isn't punishment - it's only bringing them back to everyone else's level.
 
Can you put a weapon chain on a gun or bow?
 
Today, a GM answered my ticket on this matter - they said that they were not yet aware of the bug, but have forwarded it to the QA department. A fix should be forthcoming.

Good to know, hope this applies to EU aswell. It would be fun to play around with, but it's just not nice when you're FCing in wsg. :(

What is up with you nerds talking about anger? Just reporting an imbalanced bug, plain and simple - not sure if anyone has even used it against me in WSG.

If these are pitiful attempts at trolling, you will have to try an awful lot harder ;[

I can't be sure, but to me it looks more like someone is mad they lost their advantage, and go back to getting farmed in WSG.
 
The weapon chain makes a pretty small difference. Basicaly it frees up other places for different gear/chants.

For example - the lvl 10 dual weilders no longer need +5 hit on their boots. +7 st/+7agi/minor speed. Big whoop.

The Pyrium weapon chain makes the biggest difference in PVE. With levels 10's obtaining over 100% hit - ranged is ridiculously OP. Melee hits can still be parried.

Good to know. I knew it wasn't a bug. People always quick to yell foul, even though the chant never said it had a level requirement.
Too many twink-haters on this forum these days.
