PSA: Neuter Feral and Enhance with Flash Bomb

I've got an entire guild bank tab full of arcane bombs I dont use because they're bullshit.

Lets avoid the temptation to kick off a consumables arms race because enhance is annoying and feral is broken. It's far easier (and healthier in the long run) to build a community atmosphere that discourages ferals (and learns to kite enhance) than it is to just say "screw it" and create a boring ass bracket built around gadgets > gameplay.

if the other team is stupid enough to all be grouped up so they're effective then i say start tossing them. if you put in the effort farm or buy mats and want to use them then thats your choice. its not like its an exploit or a hack. If there are items that give an extra stun, or a silence, or a disarm(boomerang wut) then why not use them? only the people who haven't or won't farm them will complain until they learn how to avoid it or get some themselves.little perks like this are part of twinking and if were going start banning items then why not just pvp naked with white gear because thats the end game of blacklisting items.

Either way, i love we have WG's then it stops everyone using consumables and we can control the class comps. So i'm not to worried in the end haha.

For those who hate what i said, don't play wargames and just abuse your consumables in pugs. Just because other people are playing over powered classes you don't need to combat it with op consumables, will only make things work it wont help. Its childish really.

19s banned ferals, we should be able to make the same kind of effort at 39. As a community, we balance the game ourselves on an honor system. It has always been about making the games the best they can be.

This won't happen without buy-in from guild leaders & the bracketmaster, anatomyx. In particular, AFKing problematic players like BACKPEDDLE needs majority support in-BG and complementary voice comm to countdown the AFK report.

That's an important reason to push everyone to get into Teamspeak. With a feral on each side, you don't want a small voice to cry out, 'Well they have one too!! donot AFK ARrs'. "Leads" join each other factions channel, countdowns hit on each side.

First of all, 19s didn't really "ban" ferals at all outside of wargames. The same thing will happen here in 39 wargames with specs/abilities that cause imbalance. I saw lots of Ferals in pug matches at 19, and I don't think a single one was ever AFKed out of a game.

Regardless, the ferals in this bracket (without being too "rude") have had VERY little impact on games that I've been in, and I also only see a feral maybe 1/3 games. I've been killed a couple times randomly in the middle of the field by them, but I rarely see any involved in actual fc kills or other things that matter. I feel like the majority of players who are good enough to regularly make an impact on games don't rely on broken specs/items because they care about the bracket to an extent.

For those reasons, I feel as though going on a witch hunt for specific things is not necessary, especially this early into the brackets revival. If it becomes a bigger problem in the future then sure, but as soon as we ban one thing all it's going to do is open the floodgates for people to start crying about everything they think is OP and try to get other things they don't like banned too. That's a headache I'm sure nobody wants to deal with.

If you care about the bracket, then play in a way that you feel helps it. We don't need a ton of different regulations to make games fun, we just need people to use their brains a little and make an effort to balance them, and I think so far we've done a really good job of that. Sure there have been some bad games, but I think in the past two weeks a lot of players have made an effort to help out. In the first week of games, Alliance was dominating and melee was severely over-represented, and the 2nd week a lot of people made characters on Horde to balance things out, and I saw a ton more casters compared to the previous week. I think that's pretty good progress so far.

Don't worry so much about the 1-2 people trying to get big crits on their kitty cats.

There's a clear difference between Shitty, Good DPS, and Broken as fuck. This bracket is trying to make a revival and when you play a spec that can 1shot people; it kills the bracket. Use common sense m8. No h8. But plz i know you ain't that stoopid.

EDIT: And a shitty DPS spec? Probably the worst DPS spec out there right now is Ele shamans. And even Ele shamans can set up a 3k Burst. You don't have to play the 1 spec that can kill a revival to help your team win matches/land kills.

I dont think it's gonna prove to be much of an issue. As rules for the 39 cup get worked out and published, I think its a fair bet that you'll see pugs and pug mades happening that fall closer to inline with those rules. People are going to want to get used to not using arcane bombs and relying on feral 1-shots to return flags, etc. Sure, ferals gonna feral, but people dislike them enough as is that they'll get farmed out of the bracket soon enough.
