To be serious, if the prize gets too large Blizzard will have to get involved. And their cut off point is $10,000.
Then there is also the legal ramifications of holding that kind of money and transferring it out all at once. Legally, here in the U.S. you can not take out more than $10,000 in a single transaction without it raising suspicions. Presuming one person has the "prize" in a separate account there would be less explaining to authorities if they were to get audited.

If the prize pool is over 10k USD you need a tournament license from Blizzard, the cost of which probably increases if your tournament has corporate sponsors or is for-profit. I don't imagine they'd charge a huge amount for the Twink Cup. The prize pool of the Twink Cup is CAD as well, so we're still pretty far off 10k USD.
 
Over a 52 week cyclic period the CAD has come pretty close to a 1:1 exchange rate with the USD.
The prize would have to grow by about 75% at the current exchange rate. It would seem that Pizza's statement would accurate.

Then again. Too many small transactions, you get put on a list, and your property is subject to seizure. Lazy banks have got small business owners in trouble because they encouraged them to keep transactions under 10k, only because they didn't want to file the paperwork.

This really doesn't apply to the twinkcup, as it's only a time deal, but you know, watch out. You don't have to be rich to get in trouble and have your property permanently seized, you could just have a lot of cash flow.

Anyway, yay twink cup next month! Can't wait.

With the new Update to the World of Warcraft home page/forums, is anyone else having issues posting on the forums? Currently will not let me post on forums/sign in to my WoW account. My battle.net account is logged in, just cannot load a wow character etc to talk on the forums!

Edit: For clarification, in the area on the WoW website where I should see my character portrait/name etc, it is green and says, "An error has occurred. Please try again. Log out"

It also will not let me click log out :/

I did a " bump " post yesterday on that thread and im currently not getting that error.
 
Now that sign ups are open, it's more important than ever to raise the level of awareness for the Twink Cup.

Especially streamers such as Xaryu. But even if they don't sign up, they have still done so much unintentional advertisement for the bracket. Would be cool to see a couple big names participate though.

I'll be watching.
 
We are less the 1 month from the arena Tourny. Teams should be doing final preparations with choosing classes and gear and focusing on strats and teamwork.
