US Promote and advertise the 2015 19 TC!

I'm not sure if I should make a different thread for this, but I guess I'll gauge interest here first.

I've done a significant amount of decently high profile shout casting in the LoL scene in the past few years(easily one of the most established in Canada), and since rekindling my passion for WoW, I've been unable to get the idea of shout casting/running a spectator stream out of my head. I have been completely removed from the wow community for years now, has there been any wsg shout casting in the past? Are there tools available for a spectator client? Would people be interested in getting involved with this?

We're hoping to get commentators for the official Twink Cup stream. Looking for players that play in the bracket actively who have the knowledge and experience to provide solid commentary.

I nominate myself to be the official commentator of the 2015 Twink Cup.

So far there's 2 pretty much confirmed casters and 2 probable casters. The goal is to have one main host that will commentate every game and help with the overall organization of the tournament/stream. There will ideally be a rotating panel of casters, with 4-5 including the host commentating each game. Casters will probably have teams that they're most knowledgeable/interested in, and the goal will be to allow casters to commentate the games that are most relevant to their interests. I'm hoping to include pretty much everyone that has an interest in being involved, provided they have at least some connection to or relevance within the community.

People that are playing in the tournament will be allowed to commentate but they will not be allowed to commentate games featuring the team they're on, and the primary host will be a non-participant.

Checking in as an update as of where we are with promoting the Twink Cup, and where we can still go as a community!

Promotion/Talk on the WoW Forums/TI/BIS have been active, healthy, staying at the top of forums! It's essential that we keep all Twink Cup threads on multiple forums active, so make sure to make accounts on MMO/AJ as well.

Keep talking about the tournament in game! Make a macro to use in trade/general chat to spread the word about the Twink Cup!

Twitter is one of our largest assets that we are not making good enough use of! This is an area that I personally feel I need to continue working at to get attention for the Twink Cup, and as a bracket it seems that people are shy to promote World of Warcraft on their Twitter, or are too lazy to get involved. Make a Twitter account for WoW (@Fearthebuns) and start getting active! Some of the biggest changes we have seen this expansion for Twinks have directly come from players within our own bracket being vocal on Twitter! Let's expand this area for promoting the #TwinkCup !

Our community is what you we it to be, every person's decisions have an influence on how the bracket plays out, whether it be promoting the bracket, the class you play, the people you play with, even the nights you chose to play or not to play have a direct influence on how the bracket is impacted.

Understand with the Twink Cup being 3 months away, there is plenty of time to have an influence on the quality/activity of the bracket, and how you can inspire others to join the 19 bracket. Show your appreciation to Myrm, the community you are a part of, and the Twink Cup itself. Get out there and make an impact.

Above all else, if we are going to continue to have new people come on board to TI, the forums need to be cleaned up a bit. We should give new arrivals a better impression. We have many lurkers. I lurked for over a year before I decided my first account in late 2009. On average we have more people lurking than users.
Act your age, not your shoe size.

Thanks for all the support promoting and advertising the Twink Cup.

A GM finally got back to be today about advertising the Twink Cup in trade chat. He said the message I have in the first post is perfectly fine and that we can continue promoting the Twink Cup ingame!

It's almost summertime - and with the summer comes an increased level of activity. We need to increase our promotion and advertising efforts to match this.
