Chap is very busy and I'm pretty sure Shamatix would laugh at me if i even talked to him (he did step down from founder as well as admin) maybe you could ask him, that being said there are others with the knowledge in this community to help (Lanky comes to mind), you should make a thread asking for help, if I knew it would be successful I would be more inclined to be an enabler.

Well, there's been over a dozen Private Servers and there's only been 2 that got sued. The chance of a small Twink Server getting sued is near 0. I wouldn't be too worried.

XPOff is extremely small compared to the average Private Server. What XPOff stands for or supports is irrelevant. It literally has no impact on Blizzards decision on whether they wanna sue or not.

Besides, if the server became so big that we would start getting worried we'd just simply move our Host to Russia. No copyright laws there.

There are so many other larger private servers out there that have been running for nearly half a decade. Kronos comes to mind for one. Why you all choose to push this one is beyond me.

How does it support the TC prize pool unless people actually pay money to pay for a site that is effectively stealing Blizzard's intellectual property? Which is illegal.

People can buy Tabards, Riding Turtles and such on the Server which would support the TC Prize Pool.

A bit of advice for everyone. If people are are going to make accusations, they should to back them up.

Purchasing on a private server is all fine and dandy. But all it does is further server to fragment the people that play an already unstable and fragmented bracket as it is. Many of people that play this bracket flock to the "next best thing". That is just what they do. That is how they work. Trust me, it is my business. 39's will become popular for a bit because a few "key" people go there. Some "sheeple" will follow. But eventually most will return to what they know best. This "group" is just looking for a "home". Somewhere to feel wanted. It is mental. TI/XPoff is a breeding ground for these people. They make great observation models for study.

Not sure if I'm getting your point here, but what I'm getting from your reply is that you believe that people will quit and go back to retail because that's their home or they'll quit retail and stay on the Private server, you don't believe both can function?

Well I had a Private Server running with 70+ players online every day, was more active than Live Twinking yet pops still popped. People played both. So that kinda nullifies your arguement.

I never stated that both cannot work in tandem. Apparently they are and have been working in tandem. Perhaps VQuality is the root cause of the downfall of games on live. And perhaps not. I did not peruse the donation of the TC 16 because the donations did not interest me. And maybe VQuality donated to the TC16.

You mistake my intentions. I could care less about a minuscule private server(70 player max) that costs money. We are going to have an influx of tens of thousands of players in a matter of weeks. We should be preparing for that. That, and if it is in fact charging people, they are stealing. It is no better than selling movies or music. I can't blame the XPoff administration for not wanting to touch this with a 10 foot pole.

Me stating that it was illegal is not a statement of me not wanting it. It is merely me stating a fact. I even stated that I could "care less about a minuscule server". You even quoted me. Kek...How could you in your wildest imagination think I would not want a private server? I even gave examples of private servers on which I have played.

The post above mine stated that VQuality was "more active than Live". That was the reasoning for my opening paragraph.

BTW, most people structure their congruent thoughts into paragraphs so people will understand them. I overestimated the members of XPoff yet again, my mistake.
