Possible Leak: In Game Quest Reward Restoration System

I would love this, I can't tell you how many times I've vendored something not realizing it until it was too late. -OR- now that transmog is up and coming it would benefit those wishing to RP with certain "sets" via the xmog system based on old content that you can no longer get since the quest is gone.

Yeah, How I can see it working is either a quest log categorized by faction < world < continent < zone < quest < reward on the website, it would detect any active quest rewards in your inventory, and you could have the item mailed to you. Or In game it would be the same method but using an NPC instead. more likely for it to be on the website than anything. On the same token though, It sounds like too large of an undertaking and I think it'll get scraped. An idea that's been mostly wishful thinking. They don't have the players best interest in mind from what I've gathered with the conversation I had with the GM. It's to make their job easier.

Gm's are kind atm, cause they've been told to be very nice to people, so they dont lose to many paying costumers, to all the new games..

No luck here, either. Told "No" by about four GMs in the last week mostly due to the expected release of Transmogrification. I didn't screenshot the conversations, but I was hinted at by two of them about the possible release of a player-initiated quest reward restoration system - no other specifics, other than it should be coming along "soon."

i did a quest, selected a item which i vended, then next day realized i should have taken another item because it would be a match for a transmorg set i was trying to put together.



did a GM ticket, gm said he would restore the item i vended, but would not grant me the other item even if i paid for it.



i mentioned the transmorg issue, plus on players who have completed quests years ago can't get old items. he told me not to fret on it, cause they are working something to allow old quest rewards to be accessed for transmorg

I'm pretty sure a majority of "GM's" are not Blizzard employees, but contract employees, so I'm not sure their word holds much weight. I'd bring it to the forums and see if a blue responds.

i got a similar response form a GM when it came to choosing the wrong quest reward which i realized a day later. also blizzard is getting swamped on item restorations by level 85's more so than twinks. cause many players who have completed near every quest are now having to do restorations to get the T-mog set or sets they want.



GM told me he could restore what i chose and could not swap....but not worry, there is a system possibly in the works to buy quest items of quests completed in the near future.



i'm glad on my 70's now i never did 75%+ of the BC quests when i leveled and pretty much any of the cata 1-60 quests. it has been useful when wanting to get quest reward items to use for T-mogging BOAs for twinks

well you have 2 SS's of two separate GM's in this thread giving this info, and i got the same response from a separate GM (sorry no SS).



although none are blue/green posts, it shows blizzard may be working on it, but doesn't want to formally announce it without knowing if or when they will be able to fully implement it.
