mining to 225

    • i have a player at 178, back in 2008 one could take a miner to 225 in stonetalon mountains at the charred vale area. for some reason there was mithril, gold, and truesilver nodes in a level 24-27 area and a 19 could mine there.



    with all the changes, does anyone know of a area to mine the same ores to get mining to 225 without help?

    felwood seems to be the place. going between irontree clearing (horde FP) and whispering grove (neutral FP)....i'm getting mithril without having to run from mobs or dying
     
    I find that just buying the mats off ah and then lvling ur mining via smelting is the fastest, and easiest method of getting maxed mining. It takes less than an hour, and you can make a good bit of ur money back by selling the bars, I would never auctually raise my mining skill on a twink by running around mining ores, that would take too long imo with how easy it is to buy the skill ups. And I agree with the saying: "time is money'', take into account the time it would take to mine ores for maxing ur mining skill, and then compare it to the cost of buying it and then think about how much gold you could have made in that same amount of time, and it turns out smelting is best.

    Yeh, as previously stated by others just simply buy mats and go with da flow

    I mined iron in EPL around scholo till 180. Then went to the AH bought some truesilver and thorium ore and smelted those till 225. Easy.
     
    I got to 100 while just questing, doing deadmines thru DF, and while having to level herbing



    once i got herbing to 85 i farmed stranglekelp at lake darrowmere in WPL, then once i was able to do liferoot to 225 in herbing, that took also took me to 178 mining iron and gold in the same area around the lake



    then at 178 i went to felwood as stated above and due to fast respawns along with doing dungeon finder for cloaks, went to 225 in mining rather fast on mithril and truesilver



    no gold spent, alot of gold made, the time had to be wasted. this took a player to over 1000G which is solo on a low pop server

    That's pretty much exactly what I did as well.
