Patch day!

When I click the jump to latest unread post thingy it quite often omits post I haven't read yet. :O
 
anyone else stuck with "Failed to read a required file. please close all other applications, temporarily deactivate your anti-virus software, and try again." while trying to update game?
Nothing written on net helped, I see lot of folks have this issue as well
blizz is ofc silence about this bug

EDIT: idk if this has anything to do with the problem, but when updating, in my programData\battle.net\setup folder i see the wow_engb folder which I suppose means that updater it trying to get the update from eu servers.
since game is only deployed to us atm (I think) this might be where the problem lies (since I had the EU version and have just switched realmlist in realmlist.wtf)

I do see that a lot of folks have this same problem, I'm not so sure that they all don't play in region where they originally downloaded game.
However I don't see any way to play game tonight, so I'm just gonna leave it till tomorrow afternoon.

Posted this in waiting... but maybe someone will look here and help me

When i go to download the patch and open the launcher (yes i run as admin)

it says "downloading updated tools" but stops at about idk 10-15% and then the play button lights up...

So i waited for about 40mins then i decided i'd click it but it just restarted the whole thing...

Any help?

Kinda odd about the melee weapons but no ranged slot and if you notice both the +1 agi and +1 resist chants have a weird code or something so maybe wrist chants maybe taken away/changed also. Still got the tabard though so I'm happy xD

They seem to be updating the Armory a bit still (tooltips didn't pop up on items for me when I checked it earlier), I'd just wait til we get online and can see everything. The armories may not be updated gear-wise til servers are live, so it could be from that enchant showing but not technically existing anymore.

I saw the edit after I found this. Looks like you may have tried something along these lines already, but the only potential fix I came across was Patch 5.0.4 Launcher Issue Fix (before the optimisation starts) : wow
 
we are continuing to perform internal testing on all realms as a part of the 5.0.4 patch release. We will be extending the regularly scheduled maintenance until approximately 2:00 p.m. Pdt.

Just heard the patch update was extended because a test Panda got out of its' cage and is wreaking havok at Blizzard Headquarters.
