Not logging on anymore unless someone does War Games.

I've had it with people in BGs. If someone wants my services for scheduled War Games. Then send me a PM, which I'll get in my email.

This is kind of a goodbye, but not goodbye thread. Care only if you want to.

I admit to being relatively new to the community, and I certainly have looked forward to wargames as that was one of the reasons for abandoning my many twinks on another server and coming to Aerie Peak.

But if you are frustrated with PUGs and want to do premades and wargames etc, why announce that you want someone else to make it happen, and instead just ask if there's anyone who wants to do it? Or perhaps set up a schedule when people know it's going to be happening so we can plan accordingly?

I know I would love to do some premades etc. I'm willing to bet that there are a lot of people who feel like you do. But someone's got to step up and put the bell on the cat.

Just today alone I've seen a few people announce they're done, I'm getting close myself. I thought that we could light a fire and get Horde viable but with all the face rolling, drooling teenagers rolling Alliance hunters, it just seems out of reach. I feel your pain.

In fact there's a discussion in the f2p channel and it sounds like several are either done, or switching to Alliance to not get steamrolled every game. Horde is close to raising the white flag I think.

Everyone around here uses the insults "kids" "teenagers" et'cetera, It's such a fitful and immature way to flame someone. It's a method of making yourself look "better" or more "mature" but it always has the opposite effect. People from the ages of 11-17 play video games, more than adults. That's the age demographic, and yes, most of them are childish and selfish. Pointing out the obvious makes people come off as a whinny butt-hurt bitch. Off topic, but just saying.

I'm waaay beyond my teenage years, and I'm still here. I play Alliance characters because of familiarity, and TBH they look prettier. *shrug*

Getting back to my original response though, if there's anything that -I- can personally do to make wargames happen more often or more reliably, I will. I don't know what I can do as a relative newcomer to the community, but I've definitely loved all the people I've met so far and don't want to see the community start to rot.

Yeah, I'm 27 and I've played Alliance since BC. Pookums is just mad.

I'm not giving up. Horde suck so bad and Alliance continue to farm GY. i stepped in for 2 games and that was enough... Mostly players from no name servers though. Reach out to them. Don't jump on the bandwagon. It's the f2p revolution. Bring it back guys!

Just saw this on the loading screen in the PTR.

Tip: Horde never has and never will farm. EVER, in the history of the game.

I can't bring myself to make a mirror. Was looking forward to some skillcapped games from players on both sides...

Have yet to see such solid games yet.

Be back later after some rl fun.

You know, there is one thing that I think people can do to make the situation a little better. You folks that play Horde, if you see someone who is clearly a F2P player in your BGs, and they're the kind of people you think would fit in the community (people for whom the bracket and the community are important) then encourage them to come read here, and to consider switching to AP so they can premade with us. I was lured here from another server, and I have spoken to people from other servers about switching since I came here. It's a small gesture, but small gestures add up if everyone's making them.

though u said people from aerie peak were bad

Were you in the game I said that? lol

AP has some bad players, but those can be controlled in War Games.

It's not just WoW that has me annoyed, but online gaming forums too. Be it trolls or stupidity it is probably safer for my health to not be involved with it so much.

lol, come on. i have like an 80% win rate in pub ABs in the past week or so.

i usually queue with like 1-2 other people, and that's all it takes.

Never understood why yall are playing on horde or went horde anyway. For pugs? Wargames can be done with just 1 side and you could have teamed up with the rest of TI's alliance to get your boa gear and quit pugs after. It's actually you who messing it up for yourselves (and alliance) by making 1 into 2 groups by going horde. Our main goal was to have wargames/premades (arena, wsg and ab) and it was very clear that newbs, 24s and imbalance (in classes) would destroy pug play and people would qq about things like eyepatch if we rolled premades A vs H on AP.

They went Horde for the shorter queue times, and to help the bracket grow... That's a good thing, not a bad thing... Why would you roll Alliance? just for the eyepatch?

I admit my first f2p character I made was an Alliance hunter, partly for the eyepatch, but mainly because my main has always been Alliance... That was before I knew that the Alliance had horrible queue times. I've always been used to Alliance having instant queues, and Horde being the dominating ones.

If the rest of the Aerie Peak twinks had any sense they would all go Horde. Skill and teamwork > an eyepatch or stockades shield.

Dude, im talking here from a wargames/premade point of view... not silly pugging wich was doomed in the first place, it has no future no matter what you will try and do. I rolled a hordie at first but we decided to try this on the alliance side, it was the idea of the first f2p twinks on AP and its still the best idea to get good games and the max potential out of f2p.
