This is a continuing project that I will work on during my spare time.

I will give you the unbuffed stats summary which consists 4 key variables:

1, Effective health. This is important because this shows how long you can last in PvP while not casting.

2, Resilience. effective health is determined by resilience. but this deserves individual attention because resilience determines your survivability.

3, Armor. This directly counters physical dps and deserves attention. i use this website to calculate the %.

4, Spell Power. This goes hand in hand with resilience. If you have high resilience and a good amount of spell power, you could often hit an equilibrium state in PvP, i.e., you never die/rarely die. I will omit mastery/haste/crit to save space but you can check out those ratings yourself.

For each class, I will do the 80 version first. Then I will choose the best level for the 80+ version: this is a class by class choice, for some , this means 81, for others, 84. If you don't agree with my level choice, or have an 84 twink when my choice is, say 81, then you can post here and I will make a customized template for you.

I will also avoid using grandfathered items/enchants.

80 Mining/LW shaman

Effective Health: 325k
Resilience: 82.01%
Armor: 26274
5067 Spell Power.
Misc. Windsong.

81 BS/LW shaman

Effective Health: 437k
Resilience: 79.20%
Armor: 27450
5822 Spell Power.
Misc. Awesome on-use trinket and
Windsong.

80 Mining/LW Paladin

Effective Health: 311k
Resilience: 77.42%
Armor: 30431
3135 Spell Power.
Misc.
Hurricane.

82 BS/LW Paladin

Effective Health: 451k
Resilience: 80.40%
Armor: 24802
5747 Spell Power.
Misc. Windsong.

80 Mining/LW Priest

Effective Health: 294k
Resilience: 81.13%
Armor: 7355
5769 Spell Power.
Misc.
Windsong.
Comment: Your stats would be a bit higher if you had the grandfathered helm enchant on a wrathful headpiece.

84 Mining/LW Priest

Effective Health: 353.7k
Resilience: 59.04%
Armor: 9248
9289 Spell Power.
Misc.
Windsong.
Comment: If you have an 80 priest with GF'd helm enchant on a wrathful headpiece, then DO NOT level him. 80 is the best level for a healing priest. mainly because the benefit of levelling past 80 is minimal for a cloth user, especially if you are a healer who need to focus on resil. There is no 416+ gloves/bracers for you to put MoP gems in!

80 LW/Mining druid

Effective Health: 302k
Resilience: 84.25%
Armor: 19263
5438 Spell Power.
Misc. Jade spirit.
Comment: Your stats would be a bit higher if you had the grandfathered helm enchant on a wrathful headpiece.

84 Mining/LW Druid

Effective Health: 369k
Resilience: 57.93%
Armor: 23692
9088 Spell Power.
Misc. Awesome on-use trinket and
Windsong.
Comment: If you have an 80 druid with GF'd helm enchant on a wrathful headpiece, then DO NOT level him. 80 is the best level for a healing druid. mainly because the benefit of levelling past 80 is minimal for a cloth/leather user, especially if you are a healer who need to focus on resil.

Implying this bracket will get active enough pvp for this to matter. It isn't all what twinking is about :)

1, yes i firmly believe that 80 will bloom like 70 did.

2, PvE BiS is so easy to build because you don't need to worry about resilience so i am not even gonna bother.

3, i appreciate your continued support of my posts. ;)

OP is updated.

I will do druid when I have time.

Should build a Hunter. See if it is the same as mine.

: )

not trying to pat myself on the back but i believe that great minds think alike.

so most likely they are gonna be almost the same.

Hey Glance make me a PvP and a PvE one for level 80 priest. I know you said you wasn't going to do a PvE one, but I don't give a shit and you evidently have more time on your hands than me. ;)

Then I can just modify it to my needs!

Forgot to say thank you for this. I'm using the 81 shaman template with great success. Have a question as i'm new to shaman - The shoulders and chest aren't reforged to mastery and gloves have 44 stamina instead of 170 mastery. Is this on purpose for some cap i don't know of or simply a mistake?

i forgot to reforge shoulders+chest, thanks for the reminder.

regarding glove enchant, i am just a big fan of stamina, that's all. depends on how much you over-heal as a resto shaman, 170 mastery could be better, but i have no way to know as i don't have an 81 shaman.

I'm currently sporting 160% mastery and i can say, neither i or anyone i heal dies. Imo i can never heal too much, as this amount of mastery makes my healing wave heal for such respectable amounts - on top of the almost 40% haste - i'm almost never using any other heal. This is most welcome when i'm getting constantly trained in bg's and have to use earth shield instead of water shield. It also makes my instants, in particular the already weak Unleash Life that much stronger. I'm staying with mastery for this reason. I guess stam/mastery is up to personal preference.

i see. thanks for the input.

btw, who is your 81 shaman? can i have a look at your armory?

thats alot of value placed into resilience :) taking 12 resil over +165 intellect on your shields but its your baby
it's certainly great to look at; and inspiring to others to come up with something to our own taste(like pvp power)
theory crafting will be needed to find the best place to stop for any particular class
scaling seems to degrade stat values by 300~% in the trip from 80----->84
so I guess if you want to go 1 level higher in your bracket you would want a greater return from your new gear than the 25% stat value loss with each level. factoring in new spells or other intangibles
