EU+US New to 39s. Is Mistweaver monk good or bad?

Mw skrong.

Good heals, mobility and dmg isnt too shabby either.. theres a few US monks playing mw armory thread prolly isnt too updated

I love my MW monk, healing is great and can do some quick burst DMG. Had top healing and killing blows in a BG just the other day :D

Their single target healing is the best in the bracket. Soothing mist -> Enveloping mist -> Vivify puts a target from 25% hp to 100% hp. Life cocoon is broken.

Mobility is 2nd to resto druids. Chi torpedo is great.

Damage is bursty, good. Great if geared. Best burst damage for a healing spec. Rising sun kicks can potentially crit for well over 1k. Tiger palm -> Tiger palm -> Tiger palm (for 3 stacks) -> Rising sun kick -> Blackout kick -> Rising sun kick (if it procs) can do a ton of burst.

This is the best armory I have come across:

3100 HP, 20% vers, and great int, GG. I will add that this class takes a lot of skill, and if played incorrectly even the slightest, it shows.

Experienced this first hand in arena for this bracket. Almost better off with the other healing classes that are more reliable with hots and bubbles like rdruid and disc.

Also disc has penance for help dps, whereas I’m pretty sure mist needs to be in melee range, exposing themselves

Yes, mist has to be melee. The rotation I described above must all be done in melee range and usually lands about 2k damage. 3k if rising sun kicks crit.

Mistweaver is arguably the most versatile healer. I've actually underestimated them when I first got into the bracket and ended up getting killed after 2 teaching of the monastery burst (6x stacks total) on a 31% versatility druid with 4500 health.
They're extremely mobile with great damage/healing output.

Lets also not forget that crackling jade lightning is a thing - with some knowledge & positioning, you could use the knockback granted to shake enemy melee into bad positioning...not to mention the damage on it as fairly strong.
