New ILVL 54 artefact weapons

I used lvl14 relics for my lvl14 toons, lvl16 for my lvl16 toons and lvl19 for my lvl19.. Was just curious if lower lvl relic can be used, so I tried on my lvl29 using 1 lvl26 and 1 lvl29 relic, it works.. Still giving the weapon ilvl54.. So I assume all lower relic can be used

as long as you can socket the relic any level relic will work.

the bug is that the item gets boosted to ilvl 50.

the 1% are still the 1% just on the other end of the spectrum now.
(not including prepatch/V-day items)

Not many forums talk about this ilvl54 yet.. Am trying out wrapping boe armor pieces like some said.. But can't get it to work

Yes it will but the high weapon wont accept any enchants except bfa ones.

cross enchantment is no longer profitable? I have to turn up the BFA enchantment, enchant my weapon, and normally handling the wrapping paper will increase the relic ilvl correct?

I was going to look into whether you should just keep your weapon lower than 50 to do this and add like a crap relic to push it to there + using the glitch.


So i guess the question is - Is Ilvl 44 + Stone and wizard oil better than ilvl 54? My guess is no

I have found the Boe Relic I need. What I don't understand now is why when I pack it, then open it, the stats don't change.
Am I missing something?

if you want a non-bfa enchant to work on the weapon enchant it first. otherwise your new ilvl54 weapon can only use bfa enchants.

The gameplay with 54 weapons is so fast and bursty, this is unhealthy for the bracket AF

I still hope they nuke 54s 49s and the staff to the ground. The gameplay has never been worse than now in terms of dmg and who jumps on who first. Many specs are irrelevant
