My 20s Tier List for solo-queue BGs

I think u’ve done a good job of rating them for solo queues.
Everyone has their own view so it’s always going to be hard to try and do something like this.
Truth is if someone gears up a toon and is good, they can make almost any class tough.
Do u think we will ever get an XPac where Hunter’s don’t top these lists......

Was that in MoP? I just remember BM monks having shields that no other class could get through while having enough dps to kill a disc priest while it was freecasting heals.

Nice rework but as someone that "mains" Resto Shaman twink and only plays Holy Pala as an alternative there's no way Resto is stronger than Holy Pala.

Martin, I think that resto is a lot better than people give it credit for just due to their tools... they have a spammable ranged slow, an aoe slow, a kick on 12sec cd, if mastery build you can top people from 5% to full with a healing surge, then also having 2x instant heals that aren’t bad at all.

I’d say main role for sham though is ofc healing but also just the support it gives In such a melee heavy meta, along with being able to shut down mages/etc. it’s quite good in my opinion.

for ele sham (my offspec), it feels like it has very good damage for sure, and the same support, the biggest issue they have is being able to survive or win 1v1 vs any melee just due to cast times/etc.

let me know if you guys have any input on this, but from my playing shaman last week this is what I have found. I’m not able to put heal a priest (though some games I have ofc, just not a good one/few/etc)

i play a holy priest but as 4th place to a restro druid and mw monk the class is lacking with movements, weak single target casting and other minor downsides compared to his other healing spec
id place holy priest to maybe 6 or 5th place, the spec is completely useless undesirable next to a disc priest

Hpriest deals better damage then disc, its something i play when my team has 2 many heals andi qued as heals. Renew is also a pretty high healing hot. I personally find resto shaman to be a better team healer then hpally.

That's because you're a DPS player playing a healer spec, not a healer playing a healer spec. Holy has some of (probably the) best burst healing in the bracket and is an amazing healer over all.

Outshined by disc? Yes, but useless is a gross overstatement and just flat out incorrect.

I would put MM above BM for solo-queue. Against geared opponents it's better to have a more immediate effect on hp bars, and theyre not that much inferior when it comes to eating up levelers, either. The fact that I queue MM has nothing, whatsoever, to do with my opinion.

if i wanted to be a DPS player id play shadow or disc as disc provides a better window of time off dps damage if given the right talent and pvp talent choices
i que healer spec with the mindset that the job is making sure my teams hp doesnt hit 0 as you should as a healer. its not that hard to provide healing and damage simultaneously or when needed. just because you dont know how to take advantage of its damage aspect when you have the moment to do so just makes you bad
*useless* is a bit harsh, *undesirable* then as someone said the only time you would spec holy is when you have to much healer or you just want to handicap yourself as i do

Anything can be a good healer in bgs when you have backup healers, ppl not taking consistent dmg, cc or consistent mortal wounds. just do some arenas vs twinks as holy if you want to see how bad it is as a healer in high pressure situations

I will only be rating classes on how they perform in battlegrounds solo-queue, not in premades, duels, arenas, or PVE.

I would completely agree with you in saying that disc is far better than holy in arenas. The double schools and instant casts on disc are too good to ignore on arena maps where LoS is a lot more common.

However, I'm going to stress again, that none of that applies to this thread...

When OP makes the "My 20s tier list for solo-queue arenas," then I will agree.

The OP literally states that this has nothing to do with arenas.
