[MOP] F2P Shaman guide

Re: F2P Shaman guide

Notice that your name is white already? -_-

Re: F2P Shaman guide

Veinte told me you PM'd him asking if you should PM me. Yes you should have, so I'd know there was a new guide.
Want me to add or edit something? Please send me a PM so I get email notification. I don't want to miss your suggestion! :)
But as Veinte already told me, I know now. :)
Adding your guide to the sticky.

I would, however, continue working on it.

In the gear section I'd at least talk about the existence of PvP shoulders

Possibly flesh out your professions advice. Talk about vellums in Enchanting and add that Minor Wizard Oil is procured during that step. Add links.

I don't really feel like talking about your PvP strategies. Possibly think about them again and work on them as you continue playing your Shaman.

Add links for the talent options and explain why your choice is SBW.

I would use less informal language. You often write like you are chatting, maybe polish it a little?

Also please run a spell check and edit some mistakes. Proper Capitalization and correct item names would be nice too, even if the links work.

Some spelling mistakes I noticed:

Proffesions
Bezerking
Unfortuntly
Hala whiskey
Naruu
unpurgable
Resilence
Discering
insigna
debateable

Maybe properly write out / capitalize things like:

rumsey rum double stam
spriests
Frostmages
Arathi basin
etc.

Please compare your item names with the actual names:
Champion Deathdealer's breastplate
Bands of Serakis
Aluwyn's leggings
Stiches stich's
etc.

Good luck!

Re: F2P Shaman guide

Possibly also rethink what you wrote about races. Tauren is more than decent. Goblin has it's advantages, especially if you factor in FC jumps (you could talk about those), but isn't as great as you make it out to be, imo.

And Earl noticed your MoP BiS Armory links (on second page, instead of part of the guide, why?) include people who haven't even logged in since MoP. And non-BiS armories.

Also seriously, please elaborate on Talents and what they do, so people can make an educated choice. Astral Shift > SBT in most situations imo. It is useful in group fights or if you place it intelligently, but not even the shorter CD makes up for talented players oneshotting your totem immediately.

Instead of talking about a selection of important abilities, maybe talk about the three specs and outline all of their abilities and uses.

1. Okay, I'll rethink about Tauren but imo warstomp is like the only thing good about them.

2.. I thought about that. Maybe I could fit the BIS armories into the first page. I remembered I needed a BIS armory when I was almost finished.

3. I just find that it works better because of shorter CD. It absorbs 273 damage frequently and acts like a passive bubble.

4. I''l keep the abilities and maybe I'l add the specs into it aswel.

ty for feedback

Re: F2P Shaman guide

I'm going to be honest, this needs some work. The formatting is inconsistent, there's a lot of information that could be added, and some of the things you say are seriously bad advice.

Here's what I would change:
  • I highly recommend you make chardev's instead of linking armories. People often log out in different gear/spec.
  • Change that blue font, it's really unpleasant to read.
  • Make better use of formatting features like bullet points and indents, just to distinguish sections of text and make it less clustered.
  • Talk to some more experienced shamans to get a better idea of how the class is played at a high level.
  • Include necessary macros.
  • Go into more detail with stat prioritization. Shaman gear is flexible, based on playstyle.
  • Don't tell people that they shouldn't hit cap.

Hopefully you can take some constructive criticism to heart, and make some of the more necessary tweaks. Overall, it's a great start, and you've clearly put some thought into it. Keep it up, and always strive to improve.

Also I have no Idea how to use Chardev(never used it before)

Re: F2P Shaman guide

chardev 10 - Mist of Pandaria - BETA

just click on things, I recommend starting by importing a toon from b.net.. I guess... if that works (honestly I couldn't get anything of mine to import, but maybe you can get it to work :p)
