I have realized some "problems" in this community.
I think this is really important to discuss. I wont menton any names.
I am not targeting anyone.
Do not think about who is saying this to you.
Dont think about me when reading this

1. Even if you contributed a lot to this community, you are not more important than others. (you perhaps might be but if you think that way, that is a bad mindset to be a community leader)

2. Respect people who contributed a lot to this community. Dont worship or troll them but respect them because they did more things than you did.

3. Even if you did a lot to this community, this is still a community. You yourself is not a community. You don't own this community. You do not have rights to do whatever you want with this community. We are a community. We own and have rights to do whatever we want to do as a community. Respect others who are in our community.

4. I dont think this is much of a problem anymore but if you are a community leader, do not think about your friends when doing things like locking threads etc. Treat everyone including the newcomers as the same way as you would treat your friends. When i was new to TI, i did noticed these things from some mods. I wont mention names.

5. Don't form a "group" in this community. The last thing we want to do is separate ourselves from this already small community. What i mean is just because you are close to certain people, don't treat people who aren't close to you like outcasts and unfriendly. It is easy and normal to be more friendly to certain people but that doesn't mean everyone else is less than a normal person.

6. Just because you have been here longer than others, it doesn't mean you can disrespect newcomers.

7. Understand that everyone quits and new people come in and out everyday. Not everyone will know everyone who played in the earlier stage of F2P WoW history. It is normal to not know about people who quit as a newcomer.

8. Knowing people who quit is not a pride or license to be in this community.

9. Newcomers, respect people who have been here longer. You have much to learn from them.

10. Dont expect any rewards but big fat letters of thank you after helping our community become better. If hou want more than just a thank you, just dont help. We dont need you.

11. You dont become anyone special after helping out. You are just a normal person who helped out. Nothing more nothing less.



All these can range from one person to everyone in this community. Dont misunderstand me, this is not to offend anyone.
Let's be more friendly guys. We are a community, I don't think we are acting too mature (including me)
Let's be a family of F2P WoW players. We never know how big f2p wow will be in the future and we are one of the first community to form specifically for F2P. We might be remembered as a legendary community of F2P WoW like 10 yrs later idk lol but come on guys. We are better than this. Lets not creat top and bottom. And please dont mention any names or make me mention names. We know who we are and we know how this community is. Lets not lie to ourselves and say that we are none of these. We can always learn and this is a good opportunity. I have learned too :)

I might sound ignorant because i am no one in this community. However, I still am part of this community so I think I have rights to say this. Just because I am no one, it doesn't mean i am less than a no one. Respect me, I respect you. Thank you. Sorry if i sound angry. This is kinda of a semi rant. I will edit this later on if i have to. You can perhaps help me with that too.

Edit: i know some of you hate me and i dont like that. I am always ready to apologize to any thing i did to you. Please feel free to tell me and i will be glad to listen and respond to you. And if you jhave other bad relationships with others, why not solve all that here? :)

Umm...I'm not sure if i read the thread late or maybe some content was removed but those people that responded to your comment about not knowing kincaide weren't trying to be malicious. I think they were joking and you became very defensive. While I agree with your post i think you were a little quick to assume people were attacking you. Just my 3 cents
 
Very nice post to read. I hope others will take the time to read and realize every point you have made.

I've noticed that a lot of players have separated from each other - even with the very nice F2P addon and chat channel... Premades have been scarce and players continue to whine about losing when they Pug. And my biggest concern is the trolls. Stop treating others poorly and start to play together.

Oh veinte. I remember when we first met on ap. We didnt really know each other but we got close to each other through some amazing arena games. But little by little, i felt like we moved farther and farther away from each othrt. I am not sure what the reason is but i think you were unsatisfied about how i dont often play too much and i was just wasting time making videos. I completely understand that. But since i have noticed that you didbt really like me, i started to see some of your obvious problems too. I overreact? I might but you veinte, are always pissed off and overreact to things. you sound really mad and unhappy with everything you say on TI recently. And especially towards me. I really dont like this. And we be a little more closer maybe veinte?

Keep in mind that i didnt make this thread because of the other thread. I always wanted to make this thread since the beginning, when i first came to TI. I have noticed certain groups of people just dont like me so i just want to explain abd fix that if you know what i mean.
 
I don't have time for fancy edits, but I have tons of cut footage. I'll post an example in a bit.
 
Come on, guys, let's not quarrel with each other. Everyone must have had a very difficult week and is a bit nervous:D, but let's keep it civil and treat each other with respect, "cause we are humans after all" .

you have to learn that people aren't looking for videos, they are looking for content. and the only thing you're doing by overreacting to negative criticism is attracting trolls like me to rub your jelly

A very nice post Dubbs, I couldn't agree more with most if not all of the things written in your 1st post.

This is basically the thing I tried to explain in the Rhae's "Let's share pools" topic but you underlined the most important parts much nicer then I did.
 
Your first thread needed to be locked, it was pointless, had hate, no content and it wasn't dieing.
a few things however;

A lot of us would appreciate your videos more if you didn't make a thread for every single video you make. There is a thread for videos anyway, feel free to bump that up with them.

Also there isn't really any group on these forums anyway besides threads that are server specific. And last, please don't bump threads which are getting bombarded with hate, better for the thread to die then for it to be locked.
 
I'm quite sure Number 7 and number 8 is directed to me considering i made a few threads....

i've seen videos like Brumble - 39 PvP (Part 1 of 3) - YouTube where the standards are far higher

I understand. Although i didnt make post on every single videos i make.. (lol that would actually be ridiculous.) I totally forgot about the videos thread.

thing that i dont like about your videos is the content, not interesting. I disagree with there not been any good content possible out of the f2p bgs or arenas. For the most part your videos are about an alliance rogue's pov which means you will be showing matches against horde which would be fine BUT, when it comes to horde in the f2p bracket you are really facing inexperienced players. I dont mine watching one sided games unless one side is really doing something that just makes me lawl or drop my jaw to the ground (points a shirty). Watching your videos is like watching two soccer teams that are at the end of the ladder, the two sides are below average but one side is kicking the other's ass. Compare that to Fc Barcelona doing the same to a less than average team in which case barca is steamrolling yet at the same time doing it in a graceful manner and showing zero mercy as they make an example of the other team. Give us something that will wow us. Fighting nobodies and overpowering them is boring and uninteresting. Your video content is something anybody can experience by just queueing up as alliance. Show us something that is not easy to come by. Of coarse that something awesome will rarely be squaring of against horde.

Things i dont like about your videos:
Alliance pov
facing below average players
doing mediocre level game play
farming
music( personally iam very picky so you can not gaf)
unnecessary content

Things i would like to see in your vids:
Horde pov
2-5 man where you cc and focus targets down in an orchestrated highly experimented manner
impossible stunts
fc all over the place for shits and giggles
narrating what you are doing or placing some graphics that highlight things like shadowstep magic with flag/kicks on healers/crits/chain cc
finishing a bg where all the dmg done is less than 2k but all the dmg went on the efc
sapping healers and speeeding up the camera (maybe with a timer that shows total time the healer was put under sap)
etc etc.

why would i be hurt? I am just disappointed and disgusted by some people thinking they are superior than i am. was just pathetic.
