Math Behind Enchants

So for healers, would it be better to run earthen vitality to boots and pvp power to cloak? (+10% speed and 2 stam with 4pvp power)

As opposed to minor speed to boots and gift of versatility to boots? (+12% speed and 1 versaitlity)

only reason for 2% speed would be for melee or FC imo
2% speed isnt a lot tbh, id rather take 2.7% dmg 1.9% heal and 2 stam
3 stam cloak enchant is another option if you feel too squishy

Are you using dejacharstats to actually see your movespeed?

The specialty movespeed enchants say 8%, but still give the same 10% as minor speed.

Yea I have the add-on. For example of I use assassin's step I only have 140% in travel form, if I use minor speed I have 150%

The specialty boots don't provide speed in cat/travel form. In caster/bear, they provide the same 10% as minor speed.

Druids for sure want minor speed. Dunno what else this affects (ghost wolf?).

from which expansion is the 12 agi enchant again? and when did it become gf'd? Thanks!

From a comment on wowhead, so not 100% sure on the accuracy:

"Ever since 5.4, anyone who had the 12 agility enchant on their parachute cloak before that patch hit got to keep their 12 agility enchant because it originally required a ilvl 35 item or higher to enchant, which parachute cloak is. but anyone who tried to enchant it after the patch got 9 agility. Now its far less due to scaling. Anyone who had the 12 agil on their parachute cloak before 5.4 gets to keep that number. Bad news to anyone who didn't get it."

Sounds like pre-5.4 was considered a different enchant with the ilvl requirement, so it doesnt get hit by scaling or anything.

Too bad! , well i guess i prefer 2% movement speed anyway to most other form of stats since i mostly kite. NE racial 2% cloak 2% minor speed 10% 14% is huge when fighting 100% movement speed ppl.

well the 10% dont work on ghost wolf havent checked the others.

Doesnt work with cat form/travel form too
I wonder if it works for war machine, dash, or any other temporary speed boost
It stacks on hunter. minor speed and the cloak and the pet give 120% move speed vs 110 with the other boot enchant

Swap gear depending on situation, you need to get from A-B? Swap to gift of x cloak and minor speed
You about to pwn some face? Swap to 3 agi + 7 armor / 4 pvp power and 2 agi + minor speed
What if you’re a lazy fuck? Which do you choose

Lazy combat rogues go with 2agi + speed and pvp power/shadow armor. Prob same for hunters with a slow.

Lazy druids and shamans should go with minor speed to get speed in their respective faster forms. The cloak enchant can go either way for the extra 2%, or the stats.
