So you had a level 20, no time on account pvp'd on the character just fine in the 20-29 bracket, and then resubbed and continued to play the level 20 character without them gaining xp, and still got into bgs?

When you say that survival is bad at 20, is it almost unplayable? I just want to know before I spend another 30 hours trying to get back to back upgrades.

Yes.
And in fact, if the bracket ever sees arenas start becoming a thing, survival is gonna be one of the in demand specs. It's a quality spec.
It's essentially an arms warrior with better mobility and cc. Doubly so if you get a pet with the mortal strike debuff. Or you can be extra annoying and get a pet with the slow.

If you in it only for fast que, I'd say wait a week.
No guarantees this will stay like this. There are no difference between 20 twink and 29 twink for blizz. Well apart from knowing one of em exist.
Allied races comes with 85% done. Just make few looms and enchants.
All classes got at least 1 fun spec.
As for playing 29 because u can't get best best as 20 - it depends on point of view. Most 20s will enjoy 20s even if bgs will become unavailable.

Yup. One of the reasons I encourage pure F2P is because it can be a blast even in pve/wpvp.

I highly doubt it would be fixed that fast, just based on that it took them this long to seperate us from the levelers. By reading the tweet from the wow dev, this should've been done in the prepatch to bfa. Maybe it will be fixed on the next expansion release. HUE

Well in reality pure f2p is there for testing the game to get the feel of what it is like to play and do leveling content.
Tossing starters with xpoff always felt out of touch as they had no say in it and would meet levelers once payment has been made. Since now starters bank exp and basically have no xpoff they are unlikely to be put in xpoff bracket just yet.
Veteran accounts are different fish tho.

Yeah for sure there is a chance that vet's might receive the same treatment as 29's, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. My point is just simply that I have no faith that blizzard would take the time to fix it that fast (if at all).

I would think they would probably just lump starter and veterans together in that move, as neither locked XP.
But I agree that being in with levelers is a short future. But as long as the freebies lump together there'll be games.

I paid 15 bucks on a separate account and geared a guys and canceled sub so in a month ill be able to play with decent q times. I still have my main account active with all my twinks if i wana log onto them on evenings where games are really nice and the q's arent terrible. In case they revert the change and will put my vet account forever vet so no chances ill ever put it back with paying and risk losing it to banked xp even though we dont think vet accumulte it. So 15 bucks isnt that big of a risk to do something in the day. I dont mind waiting 15-20 minutes, but during the day on my 29 q's are just way too long.

Yes but then they'd hose any character who had ever used a feature they put in the game.
I'm almost entirely convinced blizzard is gonna consider this issue resolved, even if there are some rumblings on the forums about vets. "Sorry your level 26 got beat by a lvl 20, there's not much we can do about that"

I've been playing in this bracket from cata to now and I've never really made a true lvl 20. But with all the recent news we've had the last few days I'm now considering making one and then canceling my sub. So I have a few questions, that I hope I can get some help with
What classes are good / fun to play at 20? I was looking to make a 2h survival hunter, are they playable at 20?
When I let my sub run out, should my xp be on or off?
Anything else I should consider when making a 20?
