Well, I'd say that pick the race you enjoy most. If you care about casting animations at all, like most people do, go after them. You'll definitely regret it if you're going after racials and care about animations, not like those are such gamebreakers on Horde though. Take it from someone who knows, first faction changed to BE female, got tired after few weeks and went for Orc male because I thought It'd be unique. Soon after found myself using model edits/noggens.
Yes you could still model edit to your fav. race if you decide to go after racials. But I don't really like doing so anymore because you have to create a backdoor, if you want those programs to work. A bit too risky for me atleast.
