Lovely Charm Bracelet

I'm going to tell you guys my secret for both this and grisly trophies for DMF "Test Your Strength".

In Redridge, there is a murloc village on the shore just north of the words "Lakeridge Highway". The murlocs there are nearly instant respawn, plentiful, and super easy to kill. As a hunter, I just stand on the little island in the middle of the village with my pet on Defensive, and turn in place shooting murlocs once until I've had my fill.

Enjoy! The price of this information is: don't encroach if I'm there with Kincaide or Xiuying on AP! :)

Hm! Looks like I haven't been going far enough east :)

From wowhead:

"Just a tip to add on to the "killing blow" requirement; just like healers will want to try and solo for this to ensure they get the last hit, hunters and warlocks (and other pet-owners) will also want to solo without their pets. I didn't get any charms until I dismissed mine."

"Yeah, I've found that they don't drop if my pet gets the killing blow. The way I'm working around it is to get the pet doing most of the work until the mob is low(ish) on health, and then quickly setting the pet to passive whilst I finish the mob off to make sure I get the killing blow..... it's less hit and miss than timing the 'kill shot' - although I do generally use the signal for 'kill shot' available (mob is 20% of it's starting health) as the timer for setting the pet to passive - that way if the pet has a bleed effect active, it generally runs out before i deliver the killing blow. T"

Can anyone confirm if we need the kb to get one?

I can confirm from personal experience that I -will- get the charm when my pet gets the killing blow. They supposedly fixed the whole killing blow thing from last year.

Test is killing the same mobs all within 50 hp of each other all level 18 or 19 in redridge

Solo test #1- 70k dmg - 30 charms
Solo test #2- 100k dmg - 44 charms
Solo test #3- 250k dmg- 103 charms

Me + Pet test #1- 70k dmg - 23 charms
Me + Pet test #2- 100k dmg - 40 charms
Me + Pet test #3- 250k dmg - 89 charms

Idk what to make of this but I think a pet may effect the drop rate somehow.. Maybe you have 50% of the normal drop chance when pet gets the kb? Not sure.. Maybe just 3 unlucky pet tests

what about one of the quests where u blow up mobs with a canon like the one in silverpine were ur blowing up worgens in dah water or the one in azshara were u blow up the naga ? would be super fast if either of those worked

. murlock method also sounds fun and dare i say bottable ?

Shhhh i was planning on doing that with my hunter xD

Not sure if it's the best spot but I found a pretty good one that I'm using.

Bdruid, Hunt, Lock or anything else with dots should be a very good choice. Equip double haste trinkets if you got it so you won't even need to heal. Dot them (I just used serpent sting) and if you're a hunt use wolf. The 5% crit is the best buff you can get for quick kills.

What's the best spot for HORDE?

you would need to kill approx 14k mobs to get the lovebird, right? sounds crazy

or just grind 40 aday and get 30 tokens doing dailies.

If you're going for the achievements then there is no way just doing the dailies will be enough for the companion plus every achievement. I managed to get lucky and get my black dress after 7 boxes so there was 140 tokens down the drain for one achievement.

You will need around 450ish tokens probably for every achievement which means you need to grind atleast 60 extra tokens at the LEAST which is 600 charms.

The event is two weeks long. 14 days x 30 love tokens a day = 420 tokens, per character. A person would be silly trying to get all the achievements on just one character's daily quests. I've used one character to just collect tokens for the bird, which I'll have tomorrow, and another character for all the other achievements I want to do. There is no reason at any point, to turn in charm bracelets for love tokens directly at a 1:1 ratio.
