Keybinds

my binds are in flux right now because i just got myself a naga so its alot different to use
but on my f2p hunter i use
1,2,3,4,5,q,a,y,s,f,g,h,j mouse up, down, middle click, naga buttons, 1,2,3,4,5,7 (bound onto numpad) movement/targeting is the same as below


although on my UI i have spaces for
w,e,r,d movement, t for player target, tab, for non-player target
1,2,3,4,5,q,a,y,s,f,g,h (main)
mouse up, down, middle,j,then my naga buttons 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,followed by my shift mouse up, down, j,and mouse buttons 4, 5 along with those on shift moddifiers (bottom action bars)
then for my side bars it my main bar with a shift moddifier for everything on one and a ctrl moddifier on the other

im useing to many keybinds for my own good i have a 54 priest im useing 47 keybinds already thats why i put so many binds in place
is there anyway to cut down on the amount of binds i have, besides making macros that put several abilities in one button or putting situational abilities back, because i like the option to use the ability alone and have those highly situational abilities there when i need them.

ctrl 1-3, alt 1-3, shift 1-5, f1-f4, ctrl MW up/down, shMW up/down

a,s,d,f,g,z,x,c,v,b,r,t + shift/ctrl for all of those and then ShQ,ShE

Oh great, make hunter even more universally easy to play... I would rather have these stay actives, even if it means more keybinds, allows for more versatile play if you know what you are doing.

tried placing my hand on your movement keybinds . it had a seizure .
 
By the time half of you people with 20+ remember which keybind you have I will have easily already clicked it and moved on to a next spell.. I can understand 5-15 as a F2P hunt but anything over 20 is overboard and would waste time trying to remember what's what imo but then again I'm just a clicker so I'm auto noob status
 
Keybinding is simpler than you believe and you likely have much more buttons at your disposal than you think. I downloaded sharpkeys and rebound my caps lock, left control, and option button (next to left control) giving me three extra buttons. I also recently bought a R.A.T.7 gaming mouse and have bound control which is my basic focus action modifier onto it for easier use.

I also do two things that I believe are extremely beneficial for melee classes but I have NEVER met another player who does the same:
- I naturally rest my thumb on the key 'B' and press the "ghvbn" with it. This further extends my key-bind pool while still allowing me to space jump using the knuckle of my thumb. All these keys can also be used while free moving/strafing in any direction which is the reason I put abilities such as backstab, eviscerate, exc.. on them while playing a melee class. Keep in mind that this method isn't really possible unless you're using a low-profile keyboard. I bought a mac keyboard.
- I don't tab target, my whole shift modifier does almost nothing but retarget with /targetenemyplayer or /targetenemy macros. I think its great but then again I only really play melee classes and I could see how this creates problems for ranged dps.

If you're interested in seeing how many of the highest rated players in the game keybind go to skill-capped.com and check their keybindings under the 'contributor' section (you don't need to pay to see it). In the end you're going to find that there is no specific key-binding pattern that successful players use but most of them base it around WAD forward/strafing movement (and so do I). Reckful, possibly the most successful rogue ever, uses the weirdest method Ive seen so far (ZX strafing, and auto-run instead of a forward key???)

Remember a bind? If you aren't half brain dead you'll be used to it in 2 games or so.
 
lil, keybinds will definitely make or break you in the tourney even if they haven't mattered in casual play.

Oh I know.. I have added like 10 more binds to get used to this tourny. I'm not saying it's tough as binding is quite simple but at this level I have everything I needed bound and I only have 14 binds. I just can't understand the point of people having 20+

This tourny isn't the same as casual play and bgs but 90% of this bracket doesn't do arena or tournies at THIS lv so binds won't make or break your gameplay in bgs
