Internet Speed

You actually get no where near the speeds they broadcast. They promise 50mb/s to the node, which serves an entire neighborhood. They give you a boast of 50mb/s for a very small duration (loading webpages/speed test) but if you look at actual through put it's like 1.5mb/s.

If you had a true 50mb/s link it would be like drinking from a fire hose lol. Most corporations survive on 100mb/s.

Folks should also post their in-game latency. I find the ping times in these tests to be misleading for WoW performance as the Blizzard datacenter you play on could be many more hops away from the server that is automatically selected in the test (or on a completely different route).

He's saying that America is fucking expensive and UK is fucking cheap. You get what you pay for right? well that 1mb/s in US is 50mb/s in UK. So

you said its all about people being cheap. this is false. do a google search and see how slow us internet is compared to other countries, and how much it costs. we should have a) faster service and b) be paying less. but as a people we sit back and let monopolies fuck us over while getting govt subsidies. way to go america, #1 worlde

whoa....thats insane.
BT sucked so much dick when i was in london. it just flat went out for hours a few times and people acted like that was normal. felt like i was in a 3rd world country or sumfing
