I lost a lot of twinks to blizz over the years but there is one 29 I still have left from nilla/BC, I've been away from the bracket for a while so If someone could tell me what gear of his is GF'd/BiS/still useful it would be sexy. Heres a link:

The only thing that's really grandfathered on that toon is your 12 agility to Parachute cloak. Everything else has other options. The helm chant might be useful in WoD depending on what they do to stam/health pools but it's impossible to say at this point.

Your chest, gloves and gun is GF'd. Chest can be considered BiS if youre looking for survival purposes. I am not sure about gloves though. Those gloves were mostly used to push through the TBC enchant barrier for the enchants. The gun is not BiS because you cant slap on a "good" scope to it

I don't see many of the GF'd gear being bis, and if scaling stays the way it is now, with the reduction of spells / abilities, being a 29 may not really be that great. Even if u lv to 25 for glyphs, think of some of that gnomer gear. It could scale to ~12-13 of a primary stat. As well as many other slots, the difference in stats isnt great enough and scaling will most likely outweigh the newer gear that is unlocked (similar to now with 20-24, but to a slightly greater extent). This could all change if they decide to reinvent all the lower level gear. which they rarely ever do.

BTW, classic male nelf hunter. He can't even hold a gun correctly...

These people lving to 29/buying GFd toons for 100s of dollars months before an expansion based off of a hunch is the same as those 19s lving their toons to 20/24 because 19s went dead for like 2 months. It's idiotic and needs to be pointed out to stop any new people who don't know any better from doing so

with all due respect but do you understand that's its going to be the trials ruining the 29s community (if blizzard goes by their plan, that is ) ? See people selling their toons or moving to other brackets? Why? Because most of the 29s had tried trial pvp in the past and were disappointed by it.

If anything its gonna be trials derstroying the quiet and organized 29s community.

it's an investment, ever heard of that? similar to investing money in a company.

people buy gfd 29 toons now because they know that once (if) the 20-29 bracket becomes a fact, the value of those gfd 29s will shoot off like a rocket.

it's fairly simple and basic to most humans, I'd have thought

He is right tho, a tweet is not much to go on. Couple that with the fact that blizzard says things all the time about Xpacs and a lot of it never actually happens. Keep that in mind.

Wait, what 29 community? If I had noticed any actually active 29s, I would've been recruiting them to Molten. Did I miss something, or was that a joke? "Quiet" hardly seems like the way to describe an active bracket.

This, i've seen no one whatsoever leveling their 24 to 29. Rerolling a few, but not leveling with that intention, while I do believe there is a high chance of the change happening, it is still foolish to level now, due to the amount of time that can still be spent on the character in the 20-24 bracket.

Nope, nor me. I haven't seen any leveling and I have mains on the two most active 24 severs in the EU. I might make a fresh 29 before WoD just in case something get's GF'd. Other than that I probably won't level till a few weeks into the new Xpac.

Caution is the motto when it comes to bracket changes like this, blizzards dev team is a fickle beast.

Even if the bracket doesn't all of a sudden spring to life, the characters we have are still worth the money because we DO play them (I spent about 1.5 hours today playing 3s with other 29s). We've been active despite there being zero random BG pops, because random BGs are god awful and we can host much better activity without them.
