From the start im going to say that im an atheist, however i have alot of respect for religion.



Earlier today i went to a remembrance service, which was held in a church and presided over by a vicar. Whilst i may not have agreed that there is a god, i respected their religion because it brought the best out in people. Everyone in this service was respectful, mostly intelligent and i appreciate the fact that believing in god made them feel better about themselves and the world in general. Just because they believe in something that i consider irrational doesnt make them stupid or deserving of your scorn, im willing to bet that some of you out there are irrationally scared of spiders or something similar, and that doesnt make you a worse person.





Also in before "lol what about muslims?!!?" Most of them are not violent at all, its only a few radicals that abuse their religion, and most of those radicals have the mentality of "Death to the West!" rather than "screw the heathens". As in any community there are radicals and here they just tend to be more radical, or are not part of the community at all and just use Islams name.
