Immortality/ways to cheat death

We dont need a lot.

Its called vestigal.

Body hair, our second eyelid, tailbones, these are all vestigal parts of our body that prove no function anymore.

It's near impossible to get rid of vestigal organs.

Religion is doable, but because of all the idiots supporting it, it's becoming near impossible.

Cutting yourself makes some people happy too, but it's threatening.

Religion is NOT doable, there is no way that you can completely remove faith in a whole out of the human race.

It's logically doable. With the current technology it's not logically possible to remove vestigial organs. When it happens a new species will be formed.

While near mathematically impossible, both can occur, one easier than the other. Since we all share the same species, it's easier to think with each other, but unfortunately the difference in IQ's makes it frustratingly hard to do so.

Also, I'm going to win this argument soon. The religious arguments have to end when you run out of ideas, my logic doesn't run out.

^_^.

I'm not feeding idea's.

And in cases, you cant change the human mind entirely in a world like ours, unless you took over the entire world and turned it into a controlled environment when you killed everyone but two people and forced them to mate a girl and a boy, then slaughtered the parents, raised the kids to believe what you want, then make them mate, and so on for ever.

Your 2 people theory assumes only 2 people are smart enough to have the human race survive. Brainwashing 51% of religious people will be the only way to make religion crumble. Maybe one day it will happen.

To be honest, I despise the way I think, it makes me want to kill myself, I envy the ignorant people, so much lately that I may rather be them than myself. But too late for that. Maybe a populace with a balance between religious insanity and logical insanity would be "normal" and be able to survive without attacking each other. Religion is a failed difference that could have been avoided either by not introducing it or not introducing logic. Either way, it occurs because they are strong opposites, it's like a nerd attacking a jock. It's a difference that could be avoided easier than others.

Like they say, ignorance is bliss.

I despise the truthfulness in this saying so much. I've been told I'm too good at everything I do, and it only makes me want to feel stupid, so that I'd have to try at things I do well in now. Many interesting things have become boring, and I'm straddling on the edge of sanity. Ignorance is indeed bliss.

IT hurts so much, to know more than i think, but to believe its allways allready been done.

When i think, i never try and put any effort into my work because i see everything concievable has been thought of before.

The only thing that I feel challenging is logic. Math, Programming. Both are puzzles in logic. Any programming puzzle is solvable with logic. When I'm stumped by logic, I feel good about myself after solving it.

Math is easy and boring.

You follow steps and proto. for math, which is stupid.

Its just memorizing formulas.

But when your actually given a real issue to solve, it does feel great when you make a breakthrough. But then again, google takes away the one pleasure ive had in a long time (no perverted jokes please)

Math is following algorithms, which stimulates the logical part of my brain. It may be protocol, but I find it enjoyable being able to exercise my logic, a test of sorts, in order.

A test? I see it more as a exersize.

That was what I was originally going to say in an earlier post, but it's generally the same thing. (though tests assume progression, so not really.)

:p Haha yeah, like i hate to practice my sports alone, because its not really practice, its exersize.

But it all goes towards the same meaning.

Keeping your mind roaming with electricity to enhance your int.

my country is christian - ortodox

people think that around 90% of romanians belive in god which is the highest rate in europe/world for christian religion

but people don t really belive in god in my country

I mean , they go to church, usually old grandmothers... and they listen to the priest that has a lot of money because at any funeral/batise/marige he is extra paied... but they don t do anything that Jesus says to do. They do eat only bread and other, and no meat when the priest says, but this is a minor thing. The big thing in christian religion is to love your enemy. Well, no one in my country loves his enemy which means that 100% from romanian population is not christian.

People around here say that they are atheist, gnostic or... anybody scientologic? - anyway, I ve been on the other side and I ve seen what is after death so I can tell this guys that they are wrong. Of course, God, is not an old man but there is something after death that phisic and math can't calculate.

People that found out what is after death are Jesus and Budha.

The thing is that the information that it is there is very complex and cannot be translated.

Imagine that you all have 2x86 PC at 16Mhz proccesor, whit a floppy disk and a 80 Megabytes hard disk and the information that is after death is stored on a Blueray. Well, you don t even have a blueray player, and even if you do, you can t play it because your procesor is too slow.

So even if someone tells you what is after death, well, you won't understand.

The only thing to understand is by loving everybody which is kinda hard ... and dumb , or you can wait to die and you will find out.

Well, you will have a big surprise - after death is very cool.

If you want to have an ideea about how cool is there, imagine an arena against a heavy enemy. He has 50% HP and you have 1% hp. And you crit him 3 times in a row, and you pwn him even he was a lot better than you , and you multiply this fealing by a million and maybe you have an ideea about how is out there.

can't you apply this to communism?

Another stupid post by RC-ST.

Personally, im not for or against any god or religion.

Most of the arguments I have seen or heard don't hold water.

Alot of gods that did exist back in the older days don't any more because they were proven to not be true by science.

Rain cycle, ocean currents, gravity, and etc has showed that Poseidon or (insert other water god here) isn't the one who is manipulating the water of earth.

Humans don't like unknown, so we give it a story or reason as to how or why it works that way, even if its completely untrue with no real background proof.

It could be that the only reason alot of the 'creator' gods are still around is the simple fact that science hasn't developed a solid factual background as to how the universe came to be quite yet.

The giving of proof does not DISPROVE a god.

Gods are imortal unreal enemas. So Poseidon can still exist, but he is using nature to control the water.
