And he stated what he was going to be doing BEFORE he did it to tone his damage down. I was unable to participate last night. But judging from everyone's comments here, damage was not the issue. The issue was the fact that he played a feral Druid. And nothing else.
However, in a post above mine it is apparently fine for a team to have 40% of the same class and spec that happens to have been buffed recently.
Even as a healer with 10,000 health when four shaman start spread dots with elemental force I die pretty damn quickly. I can only imagine what it is like for a DPS. I think a self imposed gimped feral is the least of our worries right now.

It's very simple. The ban is a blanket ban because it prevents chain reactions/slippery slope. If you have someone who plays a neutered feral, someone else will do the same. Then another person will gear theirs a little bit better, and so on and so forth until ferals are running around in full gear FB'ing things for 5-7k. Then you'll have people asking why they bothered to follow the rules when others ended up doing something like that.
It's easier and better to blanket ban it.
It is better for 99% of the community. I'm sorry if you find feral your favorite spec, you'll have to leave it to xp-on or endgame. Feral being banned in Twink Brackets isn't exactly a new thing. It's the same for 19, and I imagine at 29.

I leveled that toon to 39 less than an hour before I made the post. I didn't make the post until I had tested the damage to see if it would work. I made the thread the instant that I joined the bfg/ssm battleground queues.
Edit: furthermore, I got the idea to try it the night before. Anyone that knows me knows that I enjoy very random projects that come to me at random times. Let's see: 19 mw before they had Em and surging. 39 ele sham fc. Pay to play level 20 max stamina fury warrior, dw a 15 second dot weapon with double ele force, etc. That's just who I am
Anyone that thinks I'm breaking rules to secretly kill the bracket or hurt other people clearly doesn't know me very well, and that is unfortunate

Your telling us that the 2 hours it took you to level to 39 and the 1 minute it took you to spawn 7 boa items is a project? Yikes

I doubt anyone thinks this is the case, it's just the fact that you feel rules don't apply to you for whatever reason that pisses everybody off

Actually, I leveled it from 29, so it took less than an hour. And then I mailed over a set of BIS boas from my 19 feral that I never play cuz scum. And then set up my bars and tested damage.
