EU I Got a CHEAP epic Foamspittle Staff.

I discovered that I could save myself either a lot of gold or a lot of time wasted grinding the foamspittle staff and I settled for the Archivist's staff instead. Check armory: I am new to this whole veteran thing and made this mage 2 days ago!

I think crit is a lot better then haste for arcane, haste dose almost nothing to your dps.

Crit sucks.

this is just factually wrong. Crit is undoubtedly the option over haste with regards to both dps and sustained damage when it comes to mana. Unsure if you're talking out your ass or incredibly uninformed.

Haste isn't gimped in pvp like crit is - and is much better for competitive/wargames scenarios where faster sheeps are important (ideally being able to outsheep the opponent's mage). It can eat through mana, but that can be solved with better mana management.

That being said, crit is better burst and can be better for getting through heals. In competitive/wargames/groups - you'll likely have other burst classes like a boomkin or mm hunter or ele shaman - so arcane has more of a sustained damage role. In pugs, anything goes.

So neither of them suck. They have different uses based on playstyle. And of course, verse is still the best so thats the focus. For the rest of your secondaries - having all crit or all haste or somewhere in between isn't going to be the end of the world.

You can see I'm stacking versa crit on my hunter. It's fine there because of MM hunter playstyle. Vers and haste are just superior for arcane, particularly Vers.

Just a heads up I got the foamspittle epic inbetween battleground queues so I've ditched the cheap option and to be honest I regret not doing my research before making a vet.. I would have much prefered to remake for Xak Xak's lab frock instead.
My rng for epics from alliance quests only has been good dont get me wrong but it is just too much crit. I am now in the process of making a rogue with epic soothsaying vest etc.. either way ive been doing this for a few weeks and my sub is now over I'm really enjoying it over bfa end game content for sure!
