How many of you will Boycott Blizz

Yeah, everythings gotta start from somewhere..
Thats pretty much our whole life in summary:
-Work, work and more work.
We can rest when we are dead.

Well. When civilization has collapsed and its time to rebuild something new. You know what to try.

Nominating Comittee = Electoral College.

Its not prescreening its midwaythroughscreening. Beijing doesnt pick the candidates. They just wanted to make sure that no candidate that mentioned independence was allowed.

They can have democracy on Beijings terms, but Hong Kong keeps trying to go all in with a 2 and a 3 while Beijing has a flush.

If you're gonna make demands you gotta have leverage or realistic demands. Hong Kong has neither.

1 country 2 systems isnt something that the british invented in 1997. Its how China has been run for 2 millenia.

Oh honey.

Obviously, you are here speaking on behalf of the authoritarian government. Otherwise, how do you know the true intention of those dictators in Beijing?
A nomination committee controlled by Beijing is for pre-screening PERIOD. There no such a thing called "democracy on Beijings terms" - which means no democracy. Lies and denials are effective only within the censorship of the Great Firewall of China.

As an interesting piece of info, seems like some Asian countries (malaysia here) are very well aware of Chinese lies and propaganda and actually took action to ban it:
https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/c...roversial-comic-book-on-belt-road-initiative/
PETALING JAYA: The home minister has banned a controversial comic book on the Belt and Road initiative on grounds that it promotes communism and socialism.

In a statement, the ministry also said the book, titled, “Belt and Road Initiative for Win Winism”, also contained factual errors.

“The contents of the book can be detrimental to public order and safety.”

Haha, you may continue to proud of your communist motherland.

I doubt that but I havent talked to enough chinese millenials to make any judgement on the issue. They probably havent seen the photos though.

Yes.
Well there has been a crackdown on dissent under Xi. Before Xi they tended not to care if you didnt like aslong as you kept your mouth shout.

That’s the key serf - keep your mouth shut.

so since you’re ok with being a serf, stfu and be one. Let the free talk without your blather.

Well your half right. US pulls out and turkey goes in. Means kurds have 2 choices. Brave last stance or cut a deal with Assad and the russians. They chose the later. Nothing is gonna happen to the kurds thats worse than the last 8 years of operation freedom in Syria.

I saw I missed it and would just like to point out that only the New territories and other added territories were leased on the 99 years treaty. There was no years limit on Hong Kong Island itself.

And to all the people who "stand with Hong Kong"?

Do you support the kurds?
Do you support the Catalonians?
Do you support the Eastern ukrainians?
Do you support the yellow vests in France?

did you equate Hong Kong with the yellow vests? Hong Kong is people fighting for freedom, serf. Yellow vests are mooches like you who want free shit and use it as an excuse to steal.
[doublepost=1571944468][/doublepost]
They were offered to elect anyone they wanted but Beijing had to approve. Basically anybody that doesnt mention the word independance.

If you read more than the title youd know that shit is pretty exclusivly on chinese sites.

I mean for someone who claims to hate dictatorship you do seem to embrace their rhetoric in style.

Any opposition to "your thoughts" is paid for by the opposition and cant be real. Its literally what China is saying about HK right now; Its not real its made by the US.

ladies and gentleman, I present to you a mooch who will sell his moochy soul to the devil and support an evil regime I’d it means somebody will steal a dollar you worked for and give him a few pennies from it. In fact a “guy” like him might be ok with no pennies as long as the good people suffer.

kids and dogs, pay attention. This is why propaganda exists - because people are dumb enough to believe it.
Electoral college is a way to allocate votes by state FYI. Nobody votes for the electoral college to pick whoever or wants nor has that ever happened. Nor is the electoral college handpicked by the government...

Sigh. The nominating commitee is an electoral college. No, its not identical to yours. Same as the US and France are both republics but they dont work the exact same.

Facts is the best way to debunk lies and empty rhetoric: the nominating committee consists of 1200 members. At least >600 of them are pro-China/controlled by China. All the 3 candidates must be nominated by a majority vote. So all the 3 candidates are effectively nominated by China.

So, 100% it is just a tool for the Beijing dictators to control the outcome of the election.

Luckily, in this free world, outside the censorship of the Communist dictators, people are not easily misled by these lies and propaganda despite a massive army of Chinese propagandists are spreading disinformation all over the Internet.

The nominating committee is a small group of people (1200). That's the difference between a true election (involving everyone) and a fake one (involving a small group of people that the dictators can control).

Nobody need to care how long you are here. We only need to know you jump out and speak for your China overlord using all kinds of lies and empty rhetoric

The blizzard thing is made up bs lol.

So youre saying that no country with a prime minister is a democracy because they are chosen by a small group of people (parliament) and not everyone?

Im not pro China, Im against you.

Haha, were you educated in China? Every single statement you made about democracy is stupid and factually incorrect (or, id rather say, carefully chosen words to mislead people - very much like how the Chinese propagandists defend their authoritarian system).

Back to your statement, I don't know which country you re talking about, If the prime minister is hand picked by a monarch, or a small group of people, then it is not a democracy. However, a democratic system can have an ELECTED PARLIAMENT nominates a prime minister. This is a simple common sense knowledge for anyone educated in a democracy country.

Definitely you're pro-China, you've made a very long post explaining (or defending) China's action, things like the 9-dash line. You're against me because im anti-China.

Sigh, thats just gibberish.

In france the president picks the prime minister. But most countries with a westminster system uses a parliament which chooses a prime minister. Oh I consider that polyarchic enough but your previous statements indicated that you didnt because the prime minister was then chosen by a small group of people not directly by the people.

Anyway, to further educate you then. Sure the election commitee is indeed only made up of about 300 elected members. Thats a fourth. Now this number would have been higher had HK not turned down the reform to increase it 5 years ago.

Chinas actions are very logical. They want to dominate Asia, bending over to a few dreamers on the streets with no grip on reality is not how thats accomplished.

the President of the Republic, currently Emmanuel Macron, who is head of state and is elected directly by universal adult suffrage for a 5-year term (formerly 7 years), and the Government, led by the president-appointed Prime Minister.

In the HK case, the nominating committee wasn't elected directly by universal suffrage so that China can make sure half of them are taking order from China.

Anymore disinformation from you to justify your "Chinas actions are very logical" conclusion?! I guess you mean it is very logical for a dictatorship to manipulate an election in order to hide the fact that it is a dictatorship in disguise?

Sigh. Well thats Hong Kongs fault.

None needed. Sure is, to the extent that they care which isnt far beyond "dont mention independence".

Im getting feelings of deja vu. Its like you keep repeating talking points from someone and you dont have any follow up to something that isnt covered by them so you just say the same thing again.

So please wait with a reply until you have recieved orders on how to respond.

Deja vu is my feeling too. You keep repeating China is good (sic) while other issues are someone else's fault. And explaining how China should be a dictatorship because of some imaginary problems like independence. I am quite sure dictatorship is the CAUSE of independence instead of a means to prevent it.

You need to take order from your China overlord while anyone else can freely criticizing your master with or without order.

BTW this is hilarious:

Jesus christ.
China isnt good. China isnt bad. China just is.
If your gonna instill values or characteristics on a nation you need to be more specific than good-bad.

China can be whatever they want to be.

The reality, China is an authoritarian state now trying to expand overseas. Good or bad depends on which side you are in.

Sigh. Well thats Hong Kongs fault.
....

it is always "someone else's fault". That is possibly only if China is always good. I'm not trying to instill values or characteristics on your China. I am paraphasing your statement.
