Hit rating

oh my god, kore just negated his whole argumentation by saying pally dont need it !

seriously all melee needs it and casters needs it even more. but i still think there is no need to go all the way until you are capped.

the question was about holy paladins. Healdins dont have very many offensive moves, and unless they intend to deal a fair amount of dmg along side the hit rating is not worth the stats it takes up in most situations. Picking up hit on items like lavishly and spidersilk drape is a good idea for HoJ, but going for boot enchant, deviate belt or simp pearl ring is OTT, it does not produce much benefit from a healing PoV and it gimps your movement speed.

JoL is a melee swing so needs 5% to be capped vs everyone except nelfs.

Also there was a bit in the first post of the thread about when you would not need hit, and it included healadins.

Scenario: I miss a hamstring

solution: I hamstring again

problem solved

You miss hamstring, a capable mage or hunter or w/e trys to exploit it, maybe he succeeds. You also end up doing less dmg overall and as AK says you lose a couple rage points.

Rend misses, I gouge and restealth. GG :D. Hammie misses, I sprint away while TK'ing. GG :D. It isn't as much of a necessity for wars/pallies imo, but it is nice to have a little bit at least.

DW Miss Chance is 24%, so at level 19 you'd need

No Precision, target is a Night Elf: 55 Hit Rating

No Precision, target is not a Night Elf: 51 Hit Rating

5/5 Precision, target is a Night Elf: 45 Hit Rating

5/5 Precision, target is not a Night Elf: 41 Hit Rating

prolly the same way it does at 80, not very well. You need a balance of hit, crit, and AP to maximize your dps.

you know, it was prooven that rogues do still benefit dps wise by having their hit rating going all the way up. that said it depends on how much crit/ap you are willing to just sacrifice for it. for now there are a lot of options you can have to make that 24% attainable.

both rings, cloak, boots, chest, shoulders, bow, potions, alchemy to add even more to potions.

this is starting to be a hell of a lot to begin with, with all these you probably already get near the 24%. what have you dropped for it. try it and then tell us. its already been prooven that rogues do benefit from more hit rating. so try and prooving us that its worth dropping more stats to make the glass cannon rogue could be enough to warrant it.

basically, try it to proove the thing you want to proove or fail trying. in both cases at least you'll have tryed something different.

best way to roll on horde rogue is 13 hit and for ally i would roll with 13 but anything under 11 is under cap and only way to get is with BOA bow which is too slow
