lol i think i might be onto something new and even better than my already awesome stuff :)

Oh I haven't even played for CTA.. I logged on and saw sub 1 minute ally queues and knew the reroll and 24 hordies were out. I'm 0-0 instead of 0-25 lol

Playing Hunter past Cata is tough, we know, we know. And more noteworthy must be the obscene amount of Ally 24´s compared to Horde 24´s.

Eh why do you think horde got 24s now? Maybe all the premop trials finally got tired of getting rolled by f2p alliance and decided to upgrade with that 5$ battlechest they had.

It always has to be taken into account that if you premade with all 20s, then it's always going to reduce the odds that you will have 24s on your team — that is, if you go in with a five man team, there are going to be, one average. half as many 24s on your team. Therefore, it's always going to seem like the opposing faction has more 24s than one's own.

That's pretty simple logic, but I think it's factor that screws the opinions of many players. and they may not always be aware of it. Right now, I think the faction balance of 24s is more balanced than it was in Cata, when I think a lot of 24s were rolled in order to combat the invasion of the one-eyed, backward walking, humanoids from the evil hunter planet. Perhaps the pendulum has swung the other way, as a response to those 24s, I know that I have to recuse myself from making a real judgment on the population balance because I haven't played Alliance at 20 in quite some time. It seems to me that the number of Alliance increased quite a bit since I started f2p last year, but I know part of the reason for that is because I went from playing Alliance early on, to Horde since last fall.

I think in order to get a good idea of the population balance, one would need to either exclusively pug, or exclusively premade on both factions equally, for a good amount of time. Another way could be to actually keep track of it, but that just reeks of effort to me. I know some people that take screenshots and stuff, but I think that you would really need to go at it scientifically, with a decent sample size, to get a reasonably good figure.

We could just ask the 24s what they think their numbers are like, but as I said above. their opinions will be skewed if they don't play both sides equally, and in the same group size.

I pug atleast 90% of the time...

I took track of 24s a month before cata ended.. Horde had 2.8 24s/bg and ally had 1.2 24s/bg. The sample size was 50 bgs (should be big enough). I could easily do this again for MoP but I think it's pointless as people will simply have the old arguement "grass is greener on other side" which I feel if I pug in 50 bgs is complete bs.. Maybe if the sample size was like 10 bgs but not 50.

Idk how anyone can honestly think ally has more or even close to the amount of 24s horde has

Are they in a row? Its gatta be random :3

No the cata one was like maybe 5 bgs one day then 2 then next then 10 the next.. Back when I could actually handle 10 bgs in one day. I just randomly chose during the loading screen if I would use this bgs roster though
Out of curiosity, how did you choose?

According to your data there is a 0.000003085% chance that there is an equal amount of 24s on each side.

Another thing to keep in mind is that even one's own presence a team skews the results, being that the slot you occupy is always a 20.
