I don't get it, it has been said a thousand times in this thread, but maybe if I say it again, it will sink in with some of you. These gems have the potential to help balance the bracket. If everyone used resil gems instead of things like agility or int, burst would be decreased dramatically. And even if people do use damage increasing gems, others who use resil will mitigate more damage than the int or agility gems give.
All of my friends who quit twinking and play end game arenas are frankly delighted by this development. The first thing they thought was "oh my god, the bracket is fixed!" I know that things twinks use that they aren't supposed to look wrong immediately, and that some people are severely resistant to change. I purely have the best interests of the bracket in mind, I am not trying to "pwn any noobs" with these gems, I think they could really help us all out. They are easier to get than boa's, less expensive, and more beneficial. Please do not condemn this if you have not thought it through.

Exploits come and exploits go. It's apparent that Game Masters and Blizzard are already on to this matter and it will hopefully be fixed shortly. If not, oh well...just one more thing to add to the list of things twinks by nature use to be just what we are...twinks.

It is about the issues. Mmkey1 got this brought up and engaged the discussion. Many twinks want competitive games and premades. These issues get the consensus figured out what the bracket will accept to become the norm. IE: 29's chose to not use aimed shot etc etc.

This exploit can be taken in two ways. One is damaging to the bracket, the other is somewhat helpful to the bracket.
How can gemming hurt the bracket?
Well as we are all aware, this bracket has become very bursty. Gemming crit for example is only making this worse. It is quite obvious that damage needs to be reduced severely.
How can gemming help the bracket?
Stack resil. Stacking resil will reduce damage taken in the bracket, which overall reduces damage done. However, there are two sides to a bursty bracket, high damage and high healing. Gemming resil only reduces the damage but it is a step in the correct direction away from a highly bursty bracket.

Get blacksmithing (Don't need to level the skill at all, just get the profession)
Step two:
Get bracers and gloves from a dungeon
Step three:
Find a blacksmith to socket them for you (I haven't actually done the exploit but I strongly believe it's done in the trade window in the 'Do not trade item' window of trade. [You may need to give the blacksmith 8 strong flux]
Step four:
Buy beneficial WOTLK gems.
Step five:
Socket bracers and gloves.
Step six:
Profit / enjoy.
My personal spin on this? While I haven't done this on any of my twinks Davetango or Ðavetango. I really could care less just because it's virtually the same as all the other exploits that have gone on with twinking, if people wanna have fun? Fuck it. have fun. if you don't like it? Don't play, or just do it yourself.

This whole argument is stupid. The only reason people are even against this is because they haven''t thought it through. These gems are only beneficial to the bracket. As people have said earlier, the resilience reduces the burst problem with the bracket, the main problem with this bracket. The agility and intellect gems, while providing a good boost in damage to gems, do not compare to the 25% damage reduction or so the resilience gems give, so any argument about it becoming more bursty is moot. Finally, the most important thing about these gems: anyone can obtain them! It's just like a BoA twink going up against a non BoA twink, while one clearly has the advantage, the other twink still can, with a little effort, obtain the same items to be on even ground. Anyone who tries to argue against using them because they're an exploit is at fault as well; who here can honestly say they haven't used leg, head, shoulder enchants in the past? Even mailing high level quest BoA gear to your twink is an exploit a great deal of twinks use. I know similar things have been already said in this thread but it just doesn't seem to get through to some people. This is a positive thing for 19s, by reporting it and trying to get it removed, you're actually damaging the bracket.
