P2p f2p?

Gulbon

Legend
Hey all, I took interest in this bracket, and decided to roll a level 20 destruction warlock, on a P2P account, but I'm going strictly F2P on this character's gear and enchants (I'll probably still use the AH and stuff like that). I also want to know... Professions. I know the trade skill profs go up to 100. Is it same for gathering, and production?

I'd also want to know if First Aid scales to 100. if not, how high does it go?

I've created a chardev on what I believe is a 20 warlock... (I made the mistake of calling it afflic instead of destruction.). Could any of you give me some tips and pointers? Thank you!

chardev 9

I've also heard this bracket is as active as the 19s, but with less hunters. Is this true? ^_^

sorry we're loaded with Hunters... I'm one of them... we have some good locks that could help you and I played a lock for 4+ yrs when I was P2P a year ago...
not much help here I'm afraid... Ally or Horde? I was going to start a Priest Ally if interested LMK
And to answer the BIG Question, Yes we are very active and a great community.
First AID stops at 225, we can make Mageweave bandaids... having a P2P to help farm in Tenaris Helps!

I'd like Arknoodle to respond... is it kosher if he has the guild BoA Head and Back pieces to LEVEL with just not Fight with?
If he won't be getting anything but what he is allowed to have...
and Gulbon, we can ONLY do 15 health on chest, +1 stam to bracers, +1 resist or 15 armor to back, med armor kits +16 to hands feet and pants.
so your +1 stam to boots is not avail to F2P and +24 armor kits the same.
Cooking and fishing are maxed at 300. All other porffs are maxed at 100. some racials bend that by 5.

All professions go to 100 except for some races who get +15 like blood elves for enchanting and gnomes for engineering. Secondary professions go to 300+ i believe because of our lvl. your chardev looks nice, just change the bandana to lucky fishing hat and change that rune to another agm since your human. you'll definitely need it since your a warlock. and this bracket is OVERLOADED with hunters so yeah, prepare to die a lot, especially if you plan to pug

Herb/Alch
cooking/fishing goes up to 375
First aid - 225

Best locks I know:

Bizr @ Aerie Peak - Game Guide - World of Warcraft
Tbagr @ Aerie Peak - Game Guide - World of Warcraft
Lazertag @ Aerie Peak - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

This bracket is more active than 19s.
Alliance gets longer ques than Horde
Horde ques are nearly always instant pops
Make sure you make ur twink on Aerie Peak

Hrm. I've already made him on the Moon Guard US server, but once I get him BiS, I may transfer him to Aerie, since he is going to be on a P2P account.

Gud. You'll probably be able to get into more premades on horde, but there are plenty of Alliance on Aerie Peak too.

Imo, it'll be rough playing as a Warlock if you plan on Pugging. So I would encourage you to go Horde on Aerie peak. But it's up to you :)

Meh, I dislike Horde for some odd reason. If I did realm change this dude, I'd probably keep him Alliance.

BTW, it isn't TOO rough to PuG a lock, though it can be a challenge if you can't play a lock to its full potential.

BTW, anyone? Can someone make a chardev that's correctly BiS, for an Alli warlock, using my chardev I posted up top? :p

As a P2P on alliance for Aerie Peak, just doing 5mans and you'll be fine. Do-Able, but i'm sure someone who actually plays a lock in this bracket will be able to be more helpful than I.

chardev 9

I would think that Affliction would be better for BGs and Destruction would be better for Arenas.

the ring int/hit is great but for pug, i would take something with stamina.

Derp, i forgot alliance can get the 5stam/6int ring.

Chardev fixed

Raf a trial account, make a dk on ap. You will follow all the rules and also have a dk for running your trial and for grouping.

If your going to play warlock on alliance talk to savour. I think his toons name is Mantle now.

Welcome to the community :)

Lucky Fishing Hat is BiS over the Bandana, though you probably already know this.

Magician's Mantle is debatable for BiS shoulder, and is a bitch to obtain solo. Grab one off AH and have it available for your flag carrying set, at least.

Thick Bronze Necklace over Brilliant Necklace for PvP, imo, but follow the advice of an actual warlock f they say otherwise. Either way, have one in your bags for FC purposes.

Your chardev isn't hit capped, which is a problem. You need 4% hit to cap against 20, which takes 7 or 8 rating (3.80% or 4.35% respectively). Trade out your DHM for a Grand Staff of Jordan, then if you don't care about the last 0.2% to hit, you can upgrade your Lavishly Jeweled Ring to a Gloaming Band.

Herb+Alch gets you better stats, as well as infinite swiftness pots, compared to what you're using.

Your armor patches are one level too high, we're stuck with +16 patches. Boots need an armor patch, +1 stam is not available to us. Chest and bracer enchants are correct. For cloak, I recommend +1 resist over +10 armor, but both are legal.

Gnomes have fucking awesome racials for Warlocks. Unless you're dead set on human, I'd race change to Gnome and roll Inherited Insignia + Rune/AGM for trinkets.

Either way, AGM vs Rune of Perfection is sort of a judgement call. 30% resist to fear on Undead characters means you'll usually be casting it three times to land one that doesn't get WotF'd. I'd lean toward Rune, which you have. There is a boatload of competition over the AGM on Aerie Peak, so if you're staying human, I recommend obtaining a second AGM one before you transfer, for your FC set and in case you change your mind on Rune vs AGM.

Sad to see you're not rolling horde. Hope to emote you ingame.

I know about the hat being BiS. Dun' know what the heck I was smoking, but atleast the Bandana is a good placeholder for now.

I've actually bought the magician's mantle for 75G on the AH today, and I think the Brilliant Necklace is the better bet, atleast for my playstyle...

I didn't know what I was thinking about the hitcap stuff. I'm usually picky on that stuff. D: Infact, an hour ago, I set out to get the Jordan staff.

Herb and Alch may be best, but I'm a cheater, using a P2P F2P. I'm using the AH for my buffs. >.<

Ah, armor patches are too high? Kay.

I know gnomes have awesome lock racials, but I personally think the health that a human gets is worth it (I do agree though, Gnomes are awesome).

Thanks though. It may seem that I contradicted everything you said, but you pretty much helped me out alot. ^_^

i personally like alliance as well :) but only toon i like from horde is undead male.. i love the casting form i think its the ideal caster race for me :)
i pug alot as ap horde lock and you do die alot but its still fun. to be honest i play on AP only for the arena fun because AP horde premade is kinda lame to have fun with. its only great for honor farming for me :) after i get bis with my lock on AP, ill get on for arena action only :) otherwise, ill be playin with my server f2ps
